Can am outlander popping sound when turning hard
Whats up guys. New to the site. Tried finding something ln this issue for the past 2 days and nothing seems to compare to ny issue so here it is. I have a 2015 can am outlander 800r. I recently started hearing a sound when turning hard left and right. It does this sound (like a metal to metal pop) in 2wd and 4wd. Thought it may be a cv axle so to test that theory I put it in 4wd locked out the tires left and right and hit the throttle. Nothing. But the said sound appears to be coming from the middle of the quad. And it's also like I can feel it when it does pop. I gave the best description possible for thus issue. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
First valve adjustment
I have a new outlander max xt and was wondering when first valve adjustment is due, love it so far. What am I to expect as far as cost for the service also? Thanks
2001 Traxter doesn’t start unless jumped then won’t shift
2001 Traxter 500 won't start with start button but if we jump it it starts, however, it doesn't shift then, this model has the autoshift with manual option, has anyone had this problem or know where to start? The lights work on it, however, the high beam indicator light does not come on any longer. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thrilling Mountain Adventure
My third trail ride was "thrilling" to say the least. We made a decision to follow this trail instead of that one. It was very steep and very rocky, the very diffinition of a black diamond trail. We rode about a mile and a half down, over big boulders, into big washouts. Way too difficult for a rookie like me. We get to the bottom only to realize it was a dead end! Hey, always take a good map. We had no choice but to ride back up that awful trail. I learned uphill was more difficult than downhill. I now have my rock crawling merit badge! Twice I though I was going to flip over backwards and my machine is the long wheel base model (2 up). Several times I thought I was going to roll over. My buddy in front of me had wheels off the ground more times than I could count. The buddy behind me said I did too. I scraped up my Outlander on big rocks. My friend got hung up on a big rock like a turtle on a fence post. He could not dismount for fear of flipping backwards. We winched his machine off the rock. The hill was so steep I had trouble walking up, almost had to crawl on all fours. Then I had to follow him over that rock. I somehow made it over. Wow!
We made it back to the top without injury to man or machine. Eighty percent of the ride was merely "moderate" according to my OHV trail map, with difficult sections. We did the Empire Loop and rode to Bill Moore Lake and the ghost mining town of "Red Elephant". I also saw bristle pine trees, likely hundreds of years old. They grow sideways due to the sometimes fierce winds up at 11,000 feet.
Here are a couple of pictures of the more sedate moments of our ride. I can tell you about one trail not to take. I am looking forward to our next ATV adventure.

Harbor Freight trailer
Anyone use a HF trailer to tow around there ATV? How does it handle the weight of a Can Am Max 1000?
I'm look at these small trailers for moving my ATV around when I have the toy hauler parked at a camp site. Thinking that it might fit in the toy hauler or pickup bed for transport then unfold it and hal the ATV a short distance if needed. Its either a trailer or some kind of hitch extension so the ATV will fit in the back of my short box Dodge Ram.

The General: Modded Mondays

The Duke boys would be proud
Dukes of Hazard fans will love this General Lee themed Polaris RZR. From the big “01” on the doors to the confederate flag graphic on the roof, this builder worked as many elements of the original General Lee into this build as possible and we think it’s a great way to pay homage to the classic television series.

XP cover with large rear cargo box/seat
I had a nice Polaris trailerable cover for my 2012 Sportsman XP and it was awesome. Added a large rear seat/carbo box (Wes Comfort) and now, of course, the cover no longer fits. I'd like to just leave the seat on there, but miss the snug cover, particularly going in on muddy/sandy/dirty roads!
Will one of the Polaris 2-up covers work fine, or has someone found another solution?
I looked at the expandable heavy cover from ATV Superstore (Extra Large ATV Cover) but it seems like it might be pretty loose without a windshield; at least on the front section by the look of the pictures on the site.

Outlander has power fuel pump comes on but won’t start
Hey guys I'm having some problems with my wheeler. It's a 2007 outlander 800 xt. The other weekend I had a few too many and took it off a pretty good size jump at my buddies dirt bike track. Dumb I know lol. The next morning I had to push the start button like 5-10 times and it started right up. Drove it around for about 10 min no issues. Now it won't start at all. Light and gauges come on you can here the fuel pump when you push the start button but it won't start. I've messed with the key put it from lights to on back and forth I tested the battery checked the battery terminals and wires going to the starter everything seems to be tight. I'm lost
