I just went on a week fishing trip with my 2016 sportsman 450 and I'm at home cleaning it up and I'm suppose to go out riding this weekend and I just noticed I'm at 29hrs! I just looked in the service manual and it says first service at 25hrs. I don't think I can get it into the dealer in time now. Do I just run it? Cancel plans this weekend? Will it void my warranty? Also I just checked the oil and it's still golden.
2000 Sportsman 500 Won’t go into reverse
Hey everyone just got a new 4-wheeler tonight and the kid said his dad messed with the shifter linkage and he thinks that's what's wrong but my 2000 Sportsman 500 will not go into reverse at all. He said if you jam it really really hard it will go into reverse but I pulled fairly hard and decided I didn't want to yank it that hard. Can someone please give me some advice? I honestly cannot afford a shop.
2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 Hard Steering
Hey everyone, I'm brand new and just bought my first ATV tonight. It's a 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 and the first thing I noticed when riding it is that it is very hard to steer.
The front tires are worn out to nearly drag slicks and I think it was pulling to the left.
I've never worked on a ATV but I do quite a bit of work on cars so I'd like to accomplish all repairs on my own.
If someone could point me in the right direction so I know where to start looking.
Thanks in advance!!

2004 Ranger 500 cranks but not start
continues to crank but does not start. You can see gas in the filter coming out of the gas tank. Immediately after we stop it cranking, the fuel filter vibrates.
any idea?

uPiston and Ring Part Numbering question
I picked up a Magnum 330 basket case that had been partially taken apart. I flip bikes pretty often but this is my first Polaris. It has the famous polaris "Purple Camo" so I am keeping this one for my daughter. I haven't gotten the engine apart yet but the rod is seized to the crank so looks like it was probably ran low on oil. In the process of its death, the cylinder took a bit of a beating, but it's not unsalvageable. The piston got pretty scarred up so I will replace that and i figure it will need to go up a size.
Anyway when I went to look up parts for it I came across The following that looked like what I want.
I am assuming that the .25MM Over Stock piston requires the .25mm over stock Rings, but I wanted to make sure the .25mm O/S rings were not for a stock piston.
I will measure the crank once I get it out and cleaned up but I was thinking of using the .025 or .5 O/S Rod bearings as I am not in love with the idea of buying a new crank.
I've built motors but, again this is the first Polaris, so I am open to any and all suggestions/advice. I tend to stick with OEM hard parts and I don't mind using a generic gasket set. If there are better options, lets hear em.

Poll: Would You Rather Have Been Riding or Watching the Solar Eclipse? We get it, something like a solar eclipse only comes around once in a blue moon. (Did you see how we did that?) While we recognize and even appreciate the importance of things like this, we’re curious if the eclipse was “momentous” enough for our readers to prioritize it over a little throttle therapy. more

Time Lapse: Setting up Ramps for a Freestyle Demo + VideoJumping from ramp to ramp on an ATV is dangerous on a clear day with no wind or rain. Unfortunately, mother nature isn’t always favorable and often times riders are forced to ride in less than ideal conditions. Such was the case recently for the Guetter brothers and their ATV Big Air Tour. Check out […] more
