Anyone use Baja Designs headlight upgrade?

I'm planning a 200+ mile all night ride in the next month or so, and I'm looking for better lighting on an Outlander. I want to be able to run 50 mph on the straight sections without over driving the lighting. Stock lighting on our Outlander max doesn't have the reach needed. Has anyone used the Baja Designs headlight upgrade sold by Can Am? How well does it light up the trail? Will a charging system upgrade be needed with these LED lights and their relatively low amp draw?

If you have used another lighting set up that works well, lets hear about that as well.

Thanks.

860, cams, maverick heads

I've tried advanced searches and also scanning trough the 3 pages in the mrrpm section but can't find the thread where this setup was dyno'ed and the charts were posted. Anyone happen to know where it is now?

Suspension question for XTP owners

So what is the suspension like with the QS3 shocks on the Outlander XTP? The regular Outlander is too soft without the optional heavy duty springs. The XXC Outlander is too stiff with the Fox RC2s. Is the Outlander XTP "just right" in the middle? How would you describe the ride quality of your XTP on rocky terrain? Plush, vs firm, vs too firm? How much difference do the three adjustment choices make? Thanks.

Pinion bearing gone after 1200 KMs

Hey everyone with a 2017 xmr.
I've got a 650 and noticed while greasing the driveshaft last week that the pinion had some play in it. We took the diff out and opened it up to find that the pinion bearing is definitly gone and the pinion is worn already.
Most of the Kms on the machine are from trail riding and it hasn't been abused when in the mud.

Just a heads up to everyone that the build quality may be going downhill on these machines.
Now I've got to decide what needs to be changed and if i should do it myself.....FML

How to fix a broken composite rack

In addition to all the other fails on my wheeler (I really got ripped off by the jerk who sold it to me), while disassembling the necessary components to install the new winch, I noticed that there was a crack along the part of the bumper that bolts it to the wheeler. I slowed way down and used caution while I finished taking the bolts out of the plate.. and the piece of composite flange thing just fell onto the ground.

I'm not worried about the bumper falling off.. it's got a winch and a lot of steel to get past before it does, but I don't want to *not* try to patch this up somehow.

What glue would you all recommend? Regular Krazy Glue? Gorilla glue? Elmers? Rubber cement? Spit on it?

Thanks!

Just a newbie to ATVs

My name is Leland, I'm 63 and retired from the pulp and paper industry. We had lived in Washington state but decided to pull up stakes, sell everything and move to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Had a Can Am Spyder 2011 but decided the road conditions here in Mexico were not suitable for that type of bike. However I do miss it. So I sold it and we bought a 2017 Can Am Outlander 1000 Max. They are street legal here and it seems many people ride them. Saves gas on the truck and is easier for the parking spaces.
Glad to be here and hope to learn a few things.
Do have one question though.
What tire pressure do you guys recommend for street use?
Thanks and hope to hear from you.

Has anyone tryed to fabricate a LinQ rack to the Commander?

Has anyone tryed to fabricate a LinQ rack to the Commander. Im trying to re-use my Canam LinQ rear 3 section soft pack from my Outlander ATV, on my Commander. Tried bungie'ing it down in the cargo bed on the commander but it flops around to much. was hoping to modify a rear LinQ rack from an atv to mount on the rear bed rails of the commander? so has anyone done something similar? i see the Mavrick has the LinQ rack but nothing availablke for the commander.
Show me what youve done.

Thanks,
Eric in CT.
