Four Unique Water Features in the Oregon Dunes

It’s always entertaining when people from the southwest head north to experience the Oregon dunes for the first time. Where they’re typically used to high temperatures and barren desert, the Oregon dunes provide cool temps, lots of greenery and even freshwater right in the dunes themselves. In honor of Dunefest taking place just a couple of […] more
Atv won’t start
Hi
Somewhat new to atv's and forums.
I have a 2011 Polaris sportmans 850 xp. Bought used a few months ago.
Ran and started fine for first while. But now won't start without a boost. There was a very small led light constantly on for an extra set of headlights, I have since cut out that switch so there is no small light.
With power switch on, when the key is turned, there is power. Heads up display lights up. Then when u turn to start. There is a single click down under the seat area.
If i boost it, it will run till I shut it off, but won't start again .
Please let me know if u have any ideas. Hoping its not an expensive problem.

Rigid reverse lights
Ordered the rigid ignite series flush mount flood light. Had to use a hole saw to cut them down to fit the circle where the reflectors were. Haven't tested them in the field yet but will post a pic of them at night as soon as I get one. Let me know what you guys think. I've seen a lot of people doing this but have not seen anyone using a rigid light yet.
2008 Dodge Caliber SRT-4 money pit street/drag
Just wanted to introduce the forum to my hobby. It's a 2008 Caliber SRT. I have some "stuff" done to it. Has around 470hp/470tq and personal best in the 1/4 in around 11.70 seconds at 122 mph. I trapped higher at 124 mph but times weren't better(spinning). I enjoy it sometimes lol.

Watch Out For Those Ruts Dude + Video

Getting the holeshot only helps if you can manage to stay on the quad. While this guy ripped a massive holeshot aboard his Honda TRX250R, he came in a little hot on this turn and was taken out by some deep ruts. more
New to ATV’s – Hope I did OK…
Hi Everyone,
I've been hunting an ATV for some time now, seriously for maybe 1 month.
I've seen many, and most were in terrible condition (even ones with much lower mileage).
I finally ran into one this evening which checked all the boxes and seemed like "the one" so I bought it. It is a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO. I originally was avoiding these because I heard their 4x4 capability, because it would engage only on demand gave you less control and would get you stuck in the mud more than other brands. That said, the suspension and ride quality reviews were really good and I have a bad back (have had surgery, may need more) so comfort is more of a priority.
Since I am pretty new to this, I was a bit naive with respect to knowing what was considered high mileage. Only now reading mileage specific threads am I seeing that I might have made a mistake. Now I can't sleep... worried I did something stupid. It has 12,000 km on it, so 7450 miles. The guy did all of his maintenance, and the bike looks, feels, sounds, really good. There is a link (tie rod I believe) with some play in it, and a slight bit of play in one of the rear wheels (bearing)... and the rear brakes don't seem to be doing much (same story with 4 different Sportsmans I have seen).
The purchase is done, I will live with what I bought, and hopefully this lack of sleep is for nothing. Worse case I slowly swap parts until its a new machine again. It still pulls very strong, no smoke, perfect idle... a bit of oil around the valve cover area... new tires... mags... rear seat with front storage and windshield. I don't plan on doing too many big trips, mostly riding around my cottage and in the field with my 7 yr old daughter.
Anyways, since I can't sleep and was bored I decided to introduce myself.
