Why Does My Belt Keep Slipping?

Why Does My Belt Keep Slipping? Why Does My Belt Keep Slipping?
Why does my belt keep slipping? This is what one confused Polaris Sportsman 500 owner wants to know and he turned to the ATV AnswerMan for help. Here is exactly what the reader asked the ATV AnswerMan, followed by his answer: I have a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 500 4×4 that grinds when putting it in […] more

Rad drain plug weird issue

Sooooo... I'm an idiot. I had to order a new rad drain plug because my tab to unscrew it broke off. New one came in. Here's where the problem came into play. I had to drill out the old plug to remove it, only problem is when I was drilling it out the plug fell inwards and is now stuck in my rad. I can see the plug but can't get anything inside the little gold to try and retrieve it... any ideas???

Thanks guys

Clarification on front strut bearing lubricant

I'm almost finished going through my 2000 Xpedition 425. I have the front hubs apart and want to make sure it's done right. I know the front hub bearings are lubricated with Polaris hub fluid or ATF Type F, but what about the strut bearings? I can't find anything in the service manual about the strut bearing lubricant. Do the strut bearings need to be packed with grease or does the Polaris Hub Fluid make its way to those bearings also? It does not appear that the hub fluid can travel freely to the strut bearings with the armature plate pressed tightly against the strut. I appreciate any help.

New Member New Renedade

I just joined in with all of you although I poked around here a fair bit before buying my new Renegade 570. I got some dollar incentives from both Can Am and the dealer plus the 2 year warranty package. I'm tall over 6 feet and liked the way the Renegade fit me and my riding style which is basically trail riding with a little technical thrown in. See you around!

Outlaw to Predator parts compatibility HELP

Hi guys so let me first start by saying sorry, I have been searching the forums for hours for the answers I need with no luck. I'm picking up a 06 outlaw 500 irs this weekend, that being said I'm no dummy when it comes to turning wrenches. I'm a certified Audi technician... but I am a dummy when it comes to ATV's. I'm getting an amazing deal on a running/driving outlaw ($1000) it only needs some very minor work such as the front right brake lever and assembly, but for the life of me I can't find certain parts at all or most of what I find is labeled as "predator" seeing as the predator and outlaw are very similar what can be used? can I use cylinder kits? exhaust? jets? brake lever/master cylinder kits? rims? my basic question is that when I search for parts for my outlaw what can be used when I can only find predator parts??? (seems to be the trend so far) this will be my first atv, and just need a little guidance on parts and what I can use on the bike to make it run and look as good as new! thank you for any reply in advance!!!

ill add pictures of the quad.

Frogzskins. Any new info on these for a wheeler??

I have been researching a bit over the last month or so to no real conclusion. Is anyone running a membrane over their intakes to keep the water from splashing into the belt case ? If so, what brand and spec, and do you feel it has restricted any airflow? Thanks in advance! And as a side note, anybody have a good suggestion for a soft cooler bag that would fit nicely on the front of a 570 that still allows access to the front storage?

What should I look for?

My brother is looking to buy this.. never dealt with cams.. he says it takes longer to warm up and running correctly due to tuner being set up for after bike is warned up.. I guess my question is, what should I look for when looking over the bike?
