Installed wrong carb?

Hello, new here and have found this site useful a couple times thanks for it being here.

Recently got a new carb which is an HO carb but my atv is a 98 polaris sportsman 500. Have read several other posts relating to high idle rev. Atv is running at a steady high rpm and it will rev up and go back down just fine but remain at a high idle. Going to look over the things already pointed out in other topics soon but my question is, have I purchased the wrong carb as my atV is not the HO model?
Thanks

Headlight bulbs cross reference?

It looks like both of my head light bulbs are burned out - Polaris #4030061. Does anyone know of a non-polaris brand replacement for this? $23 per bulb seems very high. My google searches found nothing. I really like to have everything working, but an LED light bar might be as cheap. Thanks..

Brake light

Alright so I have a 2017 can am renegade 850 xxc. I've put just about 210 miles on it since I've bought it Brand new. Tonight my drivers side tail light quit working and along with that my brake lights quit working. Any input.

Explorer 400 mods

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum. I just got a 95 Explorer 400 in pretty good shape. I just went through the whole quad and changed all the fluids, adjusted the chains etc. Are there any mods you could recommend? I'm not worried about top speed at all as I ride with my family. It already has Maxis Mud Bug tires and I just installed a two up seat. The quad has 1600 on the odometer. I'm assuming it's miles ? What mileage should I expect out of it before it needs the top end done ? Thanks !

Relays or breakers, Commander Max 1000

With less than 100 miles on a 2016 Commander Max 1000, the vehicle dies when warm (very quickly in hot weather) and then won't restart. Rapid clicking can be heard in the fuse area. Called the dealer and the service tech said he'd "never heard of anything like that"... I'll pop the cover and check to see what all is in there. Are there relays in there as well as fuses? Anyone here familiar with something similar?? Thanks so much!!

What to buy???

I am considering upgrading my 4 wheeler and am interested in peoples thoughts about what I should buy to meet my purposes.

In short, I need a 4 wheeler to push "snow" around over winter and not a great deal more than that. As such, it would need a plow (electronic or hydraulically operated if possible - not winch operated)

As said, it's only use, 99% of the time, will be for snow removal on my property.

AWD Issue?

Hello all , new to the forums here just want to say thank you for all the helpful tips so far.

I recently purchased a 2006 sportsman 500 ho efi with 5000km. Great condition overall. I was out riding last weekend and noticed the machine was stuck in awd no matter what I did I couldn't get it out.

This week I drained the fluid and disassemble the front differential and didn't see any damage to the cage or rollers. All gears gears bearings and seals are good. The armature plate had some wear rings on the back side .

When I applied 12 volts the armature would stick to the "case side" and with power removed it will not unlock.

I ordered a new John Deere armature installed it and bench test does the same , except when I rotate the prop shaft in reverse direction it will unlock the armature.

Put the differential in and went for a test ride awd engages but to disengage i need to put the machine in reverse for a brief second then back to high and it is back in 2wd.

Anybody have this problem? I like my equipment working as it should but maybe this is just a quirk with the machine?

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Question involving stator

I've got. 2010 renegade 800xxc and I had the issues with the stator plug melting and burning the wires. So I replaced all of that. Should I be concerned that it damaged the stator or should it be ok?

Rear shock bushing wore out

On my 2017 Copper 1000, I took the rear shocks off to install some haeavy duty springs as the factory ones are to soft to carry my fat rear wiithout it riding too low.

When I removed them on one side, the top mount bushing is completely worn out:eek. The other side is fine. It is no longer under warranty so I will see if the dealer has one or can get a replacement bushing. Hopefully the new springs will help.:worried:

My brother picked up the springs at his local dealer so I can't tell you yet what they are other than they are supposed to be heavy duty ones for my 1000.
