I know this sound dumb but due to all the different models Polaris made back in the 1990s, I'm totally confused on what the differences is between one model or another. If you add up all the different models and the numbers that follows the model, it seems to number about 20.
I haven't taken any photos but I picked up a second Polaris the other day. It does not run so it's going to need some work. More than likely if it's like my Xplorer 300, I'm going to have to put more work into it than I anticipate.
My co-worker said he thought it was a 1996 model. It says on the side panels Magnum 400 4X4.
Here's what I know about it:
Light blue body and blue rear shock
Cyclops headlight mounted on steering neck as well as two smaller ligths below the front rack
Has oil filter mounted on side of crankcase
Water cooled
chain driven
4X4
What's the difference between a Magnum 400 and a 425? There are some parts listed on Ebay for a Magnum 425 but not a 400. Then sometimes this bike is refereed to as simply a "Magnum".
Basically I want to make sure I get the correct parts.
