Warranty Bulletin – Campaign #2017-0008: CAB Models – Air Infiltration in Cab

Hi All,

There is a new Warranty Bulletin, Campaign #2017-0008: CAB Models - Air Infiltration in Very Hot/Cold Temperatures.

This bulletin addresses the concerns in regards to openings in the front end of Defender vehicles that allowed air to infiltrate the cab.

2016 and 2017 model year Defender Cab models as well as models with the BRP rigid CAB enclosure sold as an accessory are subject to the bulletin. Please check with your dealer to see if your unit is affected.

Thanks,

Owen - BRPcare

New to group and hoping for help

Any help or opinions are greatly appreciated, I have a 2008 Sportsman 800 with 1200 miles of light use, I have owned since new. Due to a 4wd problem (constantly locked in) I took out my front differential hoping to find the common blown up sprague cage, well that I did not. Every thing appears to be in great condition and intact other than when I took it out the output pistons and parts on the drivers side I found wrapped around the output pistons was a bunch of black plastic material. It appears the piston was rubbing against the black plastic ring section that comes as part of the case on both sides. I assume it is some type of a coil or something? Not sure if this is supposed to be touching or not. It almost seems like in a manual transmission you have the flywheel and pressure plate that might be slipping causing it to melt off instead of making full contact? Just not sure how these 2 parts are supposed to mate or not touch at all. I assume the 4wd is locked in because of the mess that I found. If you look at the second pic I also have 2 pretty good grooves worn in the armature piece not sure if this is supposed to happen? I posted a few pics first should show the wear/melting on the whatever its called, second shows the mess on the workbench and third shows the melted pieces that are from the first pic. The passenger side does also have some wear on it but no real debris. Thanks to all who can help and hope I put this in the right section. If not please advise.

Navigation System

I have a Can Am Commander and I'm looking for the best Navigation system to install. I do not want any hand held systems. Any ideas?

Finally got some new wheels and some flex pictures without the sway bar

Finally got some 12x7 aftermarket wheels from Discount Tire. They are 4x3 offset. Centercaps clear nice. Also gonna post a few pics of the rear end flexing without the stupid sway bar installed. I raced it a few months back with no sway bar so anyone that says you need it to ride fast is incorrect! FWIW I also run my rear springs at full stiff.

Damaged module renegade 800 2009

Hello friends, I am from Brazil and I apologize for the weak English!
I have a serious problem of burning ecu module of my renegade 800 year 2009, and I can not find more to buy used, only new and that is very expensive here!
I saw in some sites that sell a kind of programmable module, and wanted to know if it replaces the original, if it is already programmed or needs some adjustment?

Please help me with information on how to solve this problem !!
Thank you for your attention.
