I know this has been discussed before but what has been found to fix this? Called dealer and he said there is a recall that is a fix for overheating PS. That is what causes it to stop working. Not convinced as it work fine all the time till I hit deeper puddles then it will quit. I shut it off for 5 min then it works again. All steering mechanicals are working and greased. No loose connections. Is there a breather hole or something I can seal up. Thinking water is getting in there causing temporary failure.
There’s Nothing Like a Tree to Stop You Dead in Your Tracks + VideoAll too often for UTV racers who race in the woods, trees have a habit of jumping out of nowhere. By the looks of this video, the driver overcorrected and slid sideways into a tree. It goes to show the importance of having the proper safety equipment as well as durable components like a strong […]

2018 Yamaha Kodiak 450 EPS vs. Can-Am Outlander 450 DPS: By the NumbersThe recent release of the Yamaha Kodiak 450 caught a lot of people’s attention and caused someone to recently ask if it signaled a return to economically priced machines with smaller engines. To that, we’d simply say no. There have been moderately-priced machines in the 450-500 engine category for years. This isn’t even Yamaha’s first […]

Hey guys, my 2013 650 xt seems to like using the cooling fan more than I'd expect. 20-40 mph it's on/off every other minute. 40-50 it's on half as much as 20-40. 50+ I've yet to see it come on.
It's stock other than 26" kenda htr's. I'm in Wisconsin and it's usually not to terribly hot. Also, the metal cover by the right ankle gets up to 233 degree's which I also think is a bit warm.
Coming home from rides I go straight to the water hose and spray it through the radiator to help cool things off as I've waited over 10 minutes letting it cool down to the point the fan shuts off before.
A few things I've done so far:
- Inspected the radiator for swelling and there is none.
- Sprayed the radiator out with the pressure washer, she's clean.
- Good coolant levels
Is this normal can-am hotness or do you guys think there's a possibility of the water pump impeller getting bad or the radiator getting clogged on the inside?
Angry Gator: Modded MondaysJacked up, pimped out mud UTVs with big tires and lots of accessories are nothing out of the ordinary, but this John Deere XUV 825i definitely made us do a double take. At first glimpse we almost thought it was another machine like a Ranger or a General that was painted with a John Deere […]

This Guy is Owning the Color Scheme GameWe’ve seen all kinds of “themed” ATV and UTV builds and while we’re not exactly sure what theme this guy is following, he has certainly gone to great lengths to make sure his own attire matches his machine. Raced my cousins new Maverick X3 with my 850 SP today, knew I was gonna get beat but dang those things are fast. I done a top speed run on my Sportsman on the highway and actually got 81 mph out of it, but I was no where even close to keeping up with him. I got to drive it a little later and it's a pretty impressive ride I must say.
