Last chance... I have been having head spinning issues. First it was the dreaded code 5401947. Fixed that by bypassing sensors in the throttle by sliding sensors out of place so they wouldn't touch defaulting engine into lean mode. Now, no matter how much I play with throttle cable adjustment, I go from a normal rev to a ridiculous high idol/rev when I just touch the throttle even a little bit. It sits between 2600-2900 rpm making it impossible to shift. Is this something in the throttle body? Clutch? Or did bypassing the sensor sliding then it totally mess things up? I have an EJK programmer on it but doubt it's the problem at all. Please help cause I'm ready to switch to a slow Honda that at least works.
New atv isnt charging (sportsman 700)
Hi All,
I bought a used polaris sportsman atv last week. I'm told its a 2004 sportsman 700. I dont know how to verify that its indeed a 2004, decals and camo are worn off. I see it does have twin cylinders tho and Its a carb. Previous owner claimed his friend who works for polaris rebuilt the engine and turned it into an 800 in the process.
the ATV doesn't charge the battery. I hooked it up to a working battery and it starts fine but battery voltage stays at 12.5 or so when idling , revving it in P didn't bring the voltage up either.
Whats the deal, am I looking at a big job to get the charging system working?

2010 500 HO (carburetor model) no fuel from tank
I have a 2010 Sportsman HO carburetor model and I'm not getting fuel to the fuel pump from the tank. Carb is clean, all new gas lines, new fuel filter, new fuel pump, vent lines have been checked, and I get no fuel when cranking to the fuel pump. There is no hissing noise when I remove the fuel cap so it doesn't seem like vapor lock. I took the secondary cap off the gas tank and the fuel float, gas line, and filter within the gas tank look fine.
There is no issue if I hook a hanging fuel bottle to the input of the fuel pump. When I do that everything works perfectly.
Please help.

Xmr parts fit outlander?
Just bought my first atv. Outlander 570xt. Loving it so far but I'm feelin attracted to some of the deeper mud holes. Does xmr bumper and rad relocate just bolt on to 570 xt?
01 Sportsman lunges backwards and dies when shifting
My wifes 01 sportsman ho has recently developed an issue when shifting. Its only done it maybe 4 times total the last few times out but i know its not normal and want to attack the problem before it becomes a real issue. I had not been the one driving until i felt it do it today trying to get it pulled out of the garage.
When shifting into high from reverse it lunges backwards slightly then dies. You can restart it and continue on just fine. The first time it did it my son was on it and had just backed up out of a rut, put it in high to go around it and id lunged backwards and died. I was to far away to see what had happened and today he told me it has done it a couple of times since then.
Where do i start? clutch issue? gear box problem? I've been searching and find similar problems but they are usually in any gear or other issues coupled along with them. The belt on it might have a whole 50 miles on it and everything looked good to my untrained eye when i put it on a few months ago.
Since we got the bike at the first of the year it has only seen mild trail riding usually in low range and hasn't been pushed all that hard.

No power to key switch outlander 800
Alright fellas I'm having a wiring issue. I turn the key and everything is completely dead. Dash doesn't light up, no sounds from fuel pump or anything like that. It's a brand new key switch I installed yesterday. I've check every dude on the bike. Can't seem to find anything. Any help would be much appreciated!
damaged drive belt – warranty or not?
was riding in H up a steep hill with passenger on rear (MAX XT 850). wheels started to spin. a lot of smoke came out somewhere.
was squeaking when engaging throttle from a stop. went to dealer. belt replacement. paid out of pocket. the belt fixed most of it. but it will still squeak occasionally when engaging on a hill even with low weight.
might need another trip. machine is 6 month old. should this be a warranty issue, or is this not covered? would driving in 'L' have prevented it?

fitment
Hi guys..I found a set of 28x10x12 front and 28x12x12 tires. Im running a stock 04 700 Sportsman. What do i need to make these fit on the stock rims?..or will they?. The fronts have the stock 25x8x12 now, so not sure if the 28x10x12 is too much for that rim.
I know a 2" lift needed anyway, clutch kit to turn them?..wheel spacers? or new rims?
The 28's are new and 500 for all 4...but if its gonna be another 800 to make them fit i wont bother.
Thanks everyone :)
