2003 Scrambler 500 4×4 – Rear Shock Help
Hello all,
Trying to replace seals and O-rings on my Fox 1.5" ATV Series rear shock and cannot find any info on how much oil or even the process on how to fill it, etc. I have a local shop that can do the nitrogen, but wanted to save $200 and do the seals myself. Any good resources or advice would be truly appreciated!!
Thanks in advanced!
Daniel

98 Sportsman 500 reverse grinding
Hey all, new to the posting on the forums here, learnt tons about the quad using this page as a reference.
So ive got a 1998 Sportsman 500 4x4 that ive been having some issues with lately. When shifting into reverse the problem has slowly gotten worse. Initially when shifting into reverse sometimes the gears wouldnt mesh and it would grind, so id pop it back into neautral and keep trying until it would lock into gear.
That was last year.
Now my issue is when i shift into reverse and give some gas, theres an ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS grinding that come from it, however the reverse will still work. quad will back up no issues, it just sounds like absolute death
Any one ever had an issue like this before? just want to get an idea of what might be happening before i rip the transmission apart and cant use the quad for the season. been looking at just picking up a new trans, but if its a fairly easy fix id rather just go that way
I appreciate everyones input, and thanks for the learnin's!
