I just became a proud owner of 2001 Trail Boss 325 for free courtesy of my neighbor, whose Honda Quad I got running after 6 years under a tarp in the back yard.

Well, Boss came to me in pieces with some nuts and bolts missing, carb put back together with half of the bolts, broken seat, broken throttle lever, chain rusted out, brakes almost metal on metal, rear master shot and body that was repainted by a brush! Other than that I was told it ran great last time (might be years!) ago! LMAO! Beware of "FREE" vehicles!

I started hunting for parts on eBay, Amazon, Bike Bandit, ..... Any particular place that you guys can recommend from personal experience?

Also when I checked into throttle lever switch, there are multiple part numbers all over the place yet they all look exactly the same to me from that era. Am I right? Can I instead of p/n:2010204 use p/n:2010335 which was a "B" option on BIke Bandit? I mean if my Boss came with one p/n can I just buy the other p/n, or even from a different machine and just swap them as long as they have a throttle safety switch in it? Prices seem to vary significantly.
This is going to be a fun project and I am not trying to be sarcastic. I am a professional mechanic by trade and worked on far more complex vehicles as well as some very old classic restorations.

Hello everyone! Slowly working on getting the renegade built for fast trail riding. Time for wheels and tires. I'm dead set on dirt commander's. I'm torn between 27/9 and 28/10. I will be running same size tire all the way around. The 28's are 4lbs heavier. But I've heard they run small that's why I'm even considering a 28. I just don't like the sound of running 10 wides in all 4 corners. Anybody with pictures of eaither set up?

My friend has a 2015 800 xxc, he was wiring his fan to a toggle when the hot and ground touched, it sparked and now he has a no start situation, he put a meter on the battery and has 12.7volt but no lights or anything is coming on. what did he break?

I changed the front oil a month ago, and I thought that maybe the dealer put in AGL instead of the clear looking Demand Drive Oil. I had the Polaris in the garage checking things out last night & thought I would check on the front end. It was dark again. Only about 12 hours of running time since the change. The attached picture shows the sludge from the drain plug on the paper towel & the dark color. What would cause this to turn dark that quick?

2015 Outlander was running great 5 days ago

I go to start it now, it turns over strong, I can smell a bit of gas, after a while it says “low battery voltage�

Battery was replaced 1 month ago. Meter says 13.4V and I tired hooking it up the a charger.

I’ve checked for loose connections and all fuses/relays.

I’ve had a few electrical problems which were all solved by tightening loose connections.

I recently put tracks on it, which makes it work pretty hard.


Should I keep digging for electrical problems or move onto the motor, fuel pump, etc?

Hi guys I'm new to the forum. So I recently purchased an 02 sportsman 700 twin. Prior owner said his mechanic told him it had a crank issue and would not start. So after getting it home and getting into it I found that I have an intermittent spark or no spark at all. After reading through many posts on the internet, most problems I see is the Ducati ignition components go bad. Anyone have input or have had this same issue? Any help appreciated.

Just got my ECU back from monster .. plug it in , NOTHING , turns over fine ... But won't fire sputter nothing ! Code po523 comes up , oil pressure hi voltage .... Is this preventing it from starting ?? Machine ran FLAWLESS when I sent out the ecu ... Been in contact with wick-it who flashed My ECU , he pointed me in a few directions but assures me it's NOT from the flash , but that's the only variable .. ugh so pissed .. any help ???!
