Interesting find while greasing machine.

I picked up a 2014 400HO recently. Basically new with only 26 miles on it. After searching and posting on here I decided to change all the fluids as it is 4 years old. Decided to try and grease it too while I was at it. Front A-arms needed about 10 pumps each along with the rear lowers. Rear uppers only a couple pumps. Now the drive shaft was even worse needing at least 15 pumps before I saw any grease coming out. My question is how, with Polaris quality control could this “new” machine need that much grease? Must have been assembled on a Friday afternoon.

2018 Sportsman 570SP display buttons blink every 50 seconds

This is an odd one, I think. I noticed when sitting in the dark that my display buttons would blink once in a while. After a lot of searching, I found no answers, so here I am. Nothing else blinks, not the display itself, just the buttons below the display in the image attached. They also seem to blink every 50 seconds. Does anybody know of any features of this ATV that would cause it to blink like that? I feel like it drains my battery too. The battery gets weak when sitting a couple weeks. At firts I thought I had a short somewhere causing the blink, but then I measured the interval and it seemed too steady to be a split wire somewhere. Anybody have any ideas? If you need more info, just ask.

Thanks in advance.

Hand Written Numbers/Letter on motor?

Hello,

I recently purchased a used 2016 XMR 650. I came across some numbering/lettering just below the spark plug on both sides of the motor. The bike had around 250 miles on it. Not really trying to decipher what was written, but looking to see as to what this may indicate. I am thinking it was rebuilt but maybe someone knows. Thanks!

Checking In

Saying hello to anyone. New to my Outlander XMR but not necessarily ATV life. Live in southern part of SC. I cross over and ride in GA and also in central FL.

14 overheating while plowing?

I bought a 2014 new and it only has around 400 miles on it. Mainly use it for plowing and for deer hunting. Has never really been trail ridden, have had zero issues. Last couple days we have gotten a lot of snow and after about 45 min of plowing the temp light comes on and goes into limp mode? At those times it was hard to tell if fan was running or not. Does the fan quit running if battery gets low? i know when plowing and running the winch the stator doesn't charge very well at low rpm. i limped it into the garage and checked fuses and such and relay for fan. I started it and cooling fan was not running until i reved the engine up, fan would kick on and then kick off at idle? Only thing i can suspect is a low battery (below or at 10 volts)? Advice?

Question – Track DPS on Outlander xtp 2018

Had a 2016 Outlander xt, last year I bought BRP track 360 for the ATV. This year bought a new 2018 Outlander xtp, just put the tracks on the ATV last week and went for first ride today. On the 2016 I was able to switch between TRACK MIN MED MAX DPS. On the 2018 XTP when it starts up says TRACKS and there is a star on the digital display. I have tried to change the setting to MIN MED or MAX. It will not change. The DPS seems to be in MAX mode very easy to steer even with tracks on. My question is did they get rid of the settings in track mode?

Belt Problems

2018 model, 1300 miles, bought in March 2018. Husband is 20 miles from truck in a few feet of snow. Machine started with clanking sound under seat area, sound is same in 2wd and 4wd, cam only operate just over idle. Does this sound like the belt?
