Like the title says I just got a 2014 sportsman 400 and looking to add some accessories. So if you have anything let me know. Some things I’m looking for are

So I am planning to take my 2014 Polaris sportsman 400 out ice fishing. From what I’ve read I can’t run chains on my front tires due to clearance from the struts.( without adding wheel spacers) so I am contemplating getting rear chains and adding studs to the front tires or just studding all 4.

Anyone have experience and any advice? Any recommendations on what studs to use?

i am having two issues on a polaris scrambler 50 i bought used. First was the carb was leaking alot of fuel from the overflow. I pulled the carb apart cleaned it good set the bowl and put it back on. now i only have a verrryyyyyy slow leak when the atv off off and parked in the garage. What could still be causing this leak? also i shut the petcock off and run it until its out of gas. so not sure why it would even leak?

second. The quad starts idles and rides mint. The only issue is if i floor it, it boggs like it wants to stall but doesnt actually stall. Someone told me they have a safety feature these little ones so kids cant floor it? i dont believe this.

What could be causing this? i just cleaned the carb good? Maybe dirt is gas tank gumming up carb quick? drain and new tank maybe will be my next step. It could also use a new plug i am sure.



( if it matters i only have an air filter on it right now and not an air box setup.)

Hi guys!! I have 2017 Polaris sportsman 570. I was wondering what type of coolant to use. The little white container underneath is at the minimum. Maybe a little lower and I wanted to fill it but I was not sure what type to use and if that is the spot to fill it from underneath or if there is somewhere else. I'm new at this and I rather not have to trailer it to the dealer or someone who can fill it. Unless I have to. Thanks!! 😀

Blew the front differential in a '15 1000, already had HD pinion cover after it blew out about a year ago. Is there a heavy duty Sportsman option? I've heard a RZR 900 front diff will fit but I haven't been able to find any more info on it. Are there specific years? Is it essentially "plug and play"? I'm not looking to rebuild it, I would rather completely replace.

Looking for a good seller that can set it up for me for 27" tires and for the shift out I want. For fast trail riding would 7400rpm be good?

Well I bought my 570 from Columbus TX. It really seemed to be a good machine until I had issues with it sputtering and losing power. I bought it so I could drag and work on my baseball field, so it has hardly any hours. Well the reason for it not having many hours on it is because it would not run and would just idle and then die. I took it in and was told it was a bad fuel pump. So they replaced it. About 3 months later, the same issue occurred and they had to put a new fuel pump. I asked them what else I could do to make sure it did t happen again, so I started putting premium gas and an additive to make sure it didn’t happen again. Well it happened once again. They once again blamed it on being bad gas and not running the machine a lot, but yet when I talked to the Technicians, they said the gas was good and Polaris has known about their fuel pump issues. They said that the fuel filter is on the inside of the fuel pump and cannot be replaced without replacing the whole thing. The techs proceeded to tell me that it is a bad design and that they continuously see these fuel pump issues. I then took it to another dealership this last time today and picked it up. As I talked to the front desk people, they said there was another gentleman who just came in with the same issue on a 450. They said if it were them, they would sell the machine and try to purchase something else without known issues. Is everyone having problems with the sportsman 570s? If so, they should recall them.

I need to know options on clutch rebuild kit. I just replaced belt and when in high gear it makes a lound rattaling noise but does not do it in reverse or low. Anybody have any good suggestions.

So I recently picked up a 2013 Renegade 1000 used. I got a pretty good deal on it but its a bit of a project. Went to change fluids and the oil was surprisingly cleanish and free from much metal on the drain plug magnet.

Went to drain the gearbox and was surprised to find that no fluid drained, I looked at the drain plug and it had what appeared to be heavy grease on it. I added a few ounces of Royal Purple into the filler and those few ounces flowed back out the drain plug so its not clogged. It appears the gearbox was completely empty, the fluid solidified, or the fluid was replaced with grease.

I tried to search about this but did not turn up anything. The bike has 200 hours on it and ran and drove fine without any major gearbox noise prior to this. Should I just add fluid and go about driving it or is there anything else I can do to prevent further damage at this point?
