Hey guys looking for some advice I just bought a 2019 renegade xmr 1000 and went riding and was going threw what I thought was a mud puddle but turned out to be a 3ft hole and long story short I sunk my snorkels and I drained the air box but the dash has a solid red light and a green light on and was wondering if I had to take it back to the dealership or is it something I can do myself ???
Why is my Polaris 450 more stable than the Can Am 450?
At our ranch we have 4 Polaris Sportsman 450’s base models. We just picked up 2 Can Am 450 Base Models. One is a Max and the other a 1-Up. This 450 Can Am is way more squirrelly than the Polaris. Like a lot. Like I don’t want to even go close to top speed on the Can Am it’s that unstable feeling. Where with the Polaris its so smooth and confidence inspiring. Is something wrong with this Can Am 450? All 6 units are 2018’s....any ideas?

Solutions to get my Sportsman570 with plow into my short bed f150
So attached is a picture of my ramp i use with no issues when the plow isn’t mounted. To fit the atv in my truck with the plow, ill need to back in. Ive done this plenty of times with no plow.
With the plow attached, it drags the ground as I’m coming up. Ive come to the conclusion that if i can extend the ramp, or lift it, i can get it on without issue. Anyone that could help out there???

Shocks for heavy plow? 650 Max XT
Got a 2016 Outlander Max XT with Denali plow installed. Plow must weigh 80 pounds or so cantilevered way out front, and it seems to bottom out front shocks.
Only used it this past week for snow 6-8" deep and it pushed the pile just fine. Do I need to upgrade shocks or suspension or let it be? I have no complaints in the general ride or suspension otherwise and plow only gets used 6-8 times a year when we visit cabin in Utah mountains.

No pull start for dead battery any more
The ATV manufacturers no longer have a pull start if the battery is dead or to low to turn the engine over. Carrying a bulky jump start on an ATV is out of the question; maybe on a side by side. A lot of the SxS riders do carry a spare tire but have not seen one with a jump start.
There is a new small battery that now even the ATV's can easily carry and take up little to no room. And the nice thing they will even start most cars. I keep it in the Subaru but when I ATV I carry it there. Cost is about $70.00 and well worth the insurance since it will start most auto engines. Nice thing it is only 5.5x3x1 inches weighing less than 1 pound. They also have a plug to charge your Cell phone or camera; anything that uses a USB plug for charging. A flashlight is also included.

What year models will interchange with a 2002?
Have horns
I had been hunting for a pair of horns for the 2018 Polaris 850 SP. These horns are 2.8-inch dia, pull 4 amps each and to put out 111db. They were just small enough to mount inside the pod with the high beam headlight. The horn button was small enough to also mount on the right side of the instrument panel in the pod
I was concerned about how loud they would be considering how small they are. To my surprise, they were more than loud enough. I did not want to mount them under the fenders around the EPS because washing the bike with the high-pressure washer would soon destroy them. Under the pod, they are safe from rain and washing.

98 explorer 400L/water in cylinder
Hello,
I recently rebuilt the top end, started and ran on bench for total of 1/2 hour, it was basically for about 5 min till engine was good and warm then let it cool then repeated 3 more times for total of 20 min.
Everything seemed perfect.
Next day started it still on bench and it ran for 1 min. and then it died. Wouldnt restart. Pulled plug and soaked with water.
Pulled it apart again and put new headgasket on it. Back together and still wont run because of water in cylinder.
Pulled it apart again had head machined. New head gasket and then back together.
Started engine ran great for 1/2 hour in 5 min. increments
Came out next day and started it. Ran great for a min and then water in cylinder again.
I have drained the crankcase and got a little residual fuel out of it.
I drained countershaft and originally got some water out of it (assuming it accumulated from many river crossing over the years I have owned it and my ignorance in not knowing that this two stroke has engine oil in it to lube counter shaft bearings)
After starting I again drained both areas and have nothing in them of any significance. (of coursed it was only run for 30 min and so not much might have accumulated n that amount of time)
The pull start area has no water in it although before rebuild it did.(assuming that was also from river crossings)
Questions.
Could I be getting water into combustion chamber from leaking water pump seals?
Could my break in procedure be causing the problem? ( short multiple run times )
Should I have taken it off the bench and ran in for half hour in one shot under load instead of the multiple 5 min short runs that i did.
Thinking that maybe since i warmed engine up and cooled off multiple times wthout retorque on head as opposed to starting and running for half hour straight then letting engine cool and retorque that this might be the issue.
Any thoughts would sure be appreciated, I am about ready to make a boat anchor out of this thing.
