I have a couple questions. I want to add a 7 light bar to my 09 850xp, the light bar is 35w , I would like unplug my upper light pod and hook led light to existing headlight wires so original switch works light. First question is led light leads are 16ga wire and headlight wires are what looks to be 20ga, will this be a problem, headlight is 50w. Second question is where can I find a male mate to the female plug that hooks to the headlight bulb ? Thanks.

Was buying Canam a huge mistake?????
Ok I do a lot or HEAVY off roading, big mud bogs big hill climbs and a lot of winching, in very remote country where reliability is my main concern.
I've been in 4x4ing all my life so I know what is problematic while 4x4ing and what to expect
I've come off an old hond foreman 450 that was just not capiable enough any more
I bought an 09 800 outlander, now I understand it is 10 years old and will have some issues that need attention
but f@#k me!!!!
Power and handling is amazing!
But EVERY time I ride this thing it goes into limp mode
Is this the reliability I can expect from a canam?
Last trip away 4 mins off the trailer on a gravel road going 20km/hr on a cold day
"HI temp limp mode"
The next morning I thrash it for 2 hrs in the hot sun and mud bogs before it does it again
Next time another light ride 15 mins and "hi temp" again
Some times it is a bit warm but most times I can touch the rad and the jugs so I know it's not hot.
-fully serviced all fluids
-rad lifted
-fan works
-Bled the cooling system multiple times
-fully charged battery
My thoughts at this stage are stat or temp sensor anyone have any input or help?
At this point I am severely disappointed in buying a canam.

2004 330 atp
I need some fresh "eyeballs" on this one. This 330 will start and idle, but with a bit of throttle it dies. With the choke on it will rev, although, somewhat sluggishly. I just got it and I'm ready to pull my hair out! It has a brand new carb and intake boot. Fresh, clean fuel is in it. Compression is almost 120. I even checked the bolts that mount the intake boot to make sure they weren't a hair too long. I had that happen on a dirtbike once. I didn't replace the carb and boot. They were on it when I got it. I even tried a gravity feed tank( although it was a pretty hokey setup and I might try something different if nothing else works) and it still isn't right. So, IDK if the fuel lines are routed properly.
#1 goes to the carb on the right side
#2 goes to the petcock
#3 goes to the inlet on the carb
Does that look right?

Ready 2 Instal Plastic Skid Plates
Just joined forum and have read a lot of good threads seems there are lot of good people here offering up good advice.
Always try to do as much of the service work as I can, saying that here I am about to (TRY) to install plastic skid plates purchased from my Can AM dealer for on my 2019 850 Max XT
I did install a aluminum set on my 2015 500 Max Xt that kit was a headache better part of afternoon (OFF SHORE RUSSIAN)lots a parts.
Can Am kit has less parts but MY QUESTION??? does the front plate go up under the existing plastic or over and attach to the winch fairing bolts the rest seems straight forward.
Any advice and pictures would be welcome.
Thanks
