Hey guys I’ve been having problems with my quad, for example when I start my atv it idles fine for 5 minutes then it will start to sputter and shut off. I pulled the spark plug and the tip is white and dry, also the spark plug cap doesn’t click or snap on the spark plug. Could my spark plug be my problem? Also another problem is my 4x4 randomly stopped working but the display on the dash shows that it’s in 4x4...
Throttle Restriction
Hello all,
Tried searching for this everywhere and came up with nothing - maybe it's not possible. Anyway, new to my 03 Scrambler 500 and wonder if there is a way to restrict the throttle for younger riders and adults that are not used to the power. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Daniel

LED Lights
Has anyone out there just put aftermarket LED bulbs inside the stock headlights? I had a buddy do it with his Can am where he found bulbs that fit and they work great. I just dont want to spend the money on the LED pods you can use in there.
Sharing an unconventional part source
For some unknown reason, the spring that holds open the little parking brake lever on my 1999 Sportsman 335 was missing, resulting in the lever engaging about every other time I use the brakes. Very annoying. I looked everywhere online for that stupid little torsion spring with no luck. You can order one from a spring company, but need to know exact dimensions, which I don’t have, because it’s missing. Minimum cost I found on eBay for a used handle that has an intact parking brake lever was around $30.
Walking around Handyman hardware, I tried to think of what cheap part might have a torsion spring like that and happened upon hollow wall toggle bolts. Those are the fasteners that you drill a hole in the wall and push them through, and they have little wings that spread out once inside (link to picture below). They sell just the wings, each of which contains a small torsion spring, and they’re cheap. I just got a couple of sizes, tore them apart to get the spring, and found one that fits perfectly. Works great for $1.31 in parts for all of the ones I bought.
