Hi Guys new to Can Am’s looking to pick up a 07 Can Am Outlander 400, the previous owner had the rear drive shaft snap and didn’t fix it. Then he let it sit a few months it has some problems to fix including the shaft. Getting it pretty cheap. I am wondering if I would be able to drive the quad up ramps into my pick up truck without the rear shaft using 4x4 using the front wheels. His battery is shot so i can’t test it until I get there and it’s a couple hours away. He thinks it didn’t work like that before he parked it months ago. Any thoughts on that?

question concerning sportsman eps 850
Picked up a 2010 with low miles last spring that came equipped with Polaris tracks. This fall I was told by someone who should know that you should always drive in low range to prevent drive belt wear. This sounds over the top to me. I can see if towing for instance that this would be correct. I got it for ice fishing and plan on towing my fish house and for travelling to and from it. I am, of course, new to tracks so any other advice would be appreciated.
Salt spreader does it work with sand salt?
Hello,
I was thinking of getting a salt spreader or the ATV but I use mainly the sand salt mixture that the municipality provides. Does anyone have any experience with the salt spreaders using sand salt?

Clutch pulling
I'm trying to pull the clutch on a 97 sportsman so I can access my starter. Anybody know the bolt size fir the clutch so I dont have to use a puller? I was told if I put a metal rod in the bolt hole and thread another bolt into the clutch I could free it without a puller.
Thanks

2011 550 XP has EPS????
I am investigating a 2011 Sportsman 550. Owner claims it has EPS. From what I've learned (please correct me if I'm wrong), the base model didn't come with EPS. The "upper" models did. This is camo, which I believe is how the base model, or the Browning came. Can anyone tell from the picture, or from their experience, if this has EPS? I am a couple hours away from it, and don't wanna waste a trip. Did the camo EPS models have an EPS sticker on the headlamp housing like others have?
Thanks
Thanks

poor acceleration
I have a 2013 outlander 800. Sometimes i can hit the gas and ride a badass wheelie. Other times i hit the gas and its a dog. front tires wont even come off the ground. I did notice when i remove the gas cap the tank has a suction. Is this normal? Just having a big lose of power at acceleration. Please help and Thank you
2005 Front A-Arms on a 2004.5??
All,
I am new to this game but I am trying to learn. So far, I have learned that having the 2004.5 model sucks for trying to get parts!
I wanted to upgrade to full cv axles so I bought the eastlake axles for the 2005, but they are to long.
My question is can I just jump up to the 2005+ lower control arms or do I have to go back?
I fell into the didn't know my axels could slide out upon adding the 2" lift pucks for leveling crowd.
I am wondering if the newer lower control arms which nave a more forward ball joint fit in my frame rail, or do I just go back to the standard u-joint inner axles?
Thanks for any help!

heard some kind of explosion or snap ATV wont move now
Hey all, so I have about 1700 miles on my polaris and all of the sudden, when I was on AWD going through snow, I just heard some kind of metallic snap sound? like a mini explosion? occasionally when I push it, you can still hear something. I havent opened up my belt case yet, so I am hoping that is the culprit (been too cold)
I am wondering if you guys have any experience with this and if it definitely sounds like the belt? ATV wont move in any gear and has to be pushed
