Gear issue.
Hi, new to the forum and live down in New Zealand. I have acquired a 2007 Outlander 400 HO into my stable of bikes. Having some issues. when I got the bike the gear selection was and still is in reverse. Park is park and neutral is neutral, however in R it goes forward and L and H are 2 speeds in reverse.
Secondly, the 2 and 4WD aren't working, so I removed the motor, pushed the locating shaft in towards the motor to lock it into 4WD permanently, thinking this would be fine for the bush and hunting. when I started the bike again, my front wheels are going backwards and the rears forwards, so just a total no go and very bemused. I have a very good mechanical knowledge of bikes but this one has stumped me. any help would be very much appreciated.

What to Look for in a Youth ATV

1997 Polaris 500 Sportsman, Allways purchased parts during noon hour, finally came across a part that is a little different. Took off the old axles, overheard that there would be 2 different axles for this model. So trouble begins when the strut bearing only goes down, and lodges on the Clutch gears. The castle nut only threads up to the cotter pin, which isn't a real biggy because on the rest of the axle, the Hillard fits right, along with the wheel bearings also fitting. Does this sound familiar to anyone who may have purchased the wrong axle? Haven't came across a similar threat yet. thanks all!

Adding front headlight
I have a 2017 outlander 570 with only one set of lights and the other area is plastic. I would like to cut out and add headlights to that area. Has anyone done it ? If there is a existing topic please link it. I tried to search but havent come across anything yet.

09 outlander very frustrating idle problem
Bought an 09 outlander 800 over the summer for dirt cheap. Was drowned at mudfest and motor locked up. Guy towed it to the trailer, took it home and it sat in a shed for 3 years. Then I came along and picked it up with big plans. Pulled the motor and sent to a shop to have motor completely rebuild tol to bottom. While being built, I went through the fuel system cleaning out the intake tube, tb, all sensors except tpS but I did unplug it. Blew out fuel lines, drained tank, pulled fuel pump assembly checked the filter, it was spotless so I put it back in the tank and filled with fresh fuel. Cleaned injectors and checked to see if they spray, they both spray good. Got the motor back and checked the timing myself to make sure. Its spot on. Put the motor back in and got everything hooked back up, air box on, primary, secondary, fresh belt, one way bearings, and plugs. Bike fires right up and motor sounds solid as a rock. Except it wants to idle super low and cut up and stall out. But if you're on the gas anywhere past 1/4 throttle, it runs like a champ, doesn't miss and has all kinds of power. But as soon as you come to a stop, it starts cutting up and stalls out. I figured with all this work it just needs some time to adjust to everything. Well after days of starting it, taking it on short rips up and down the road letting it run up and down through the rpms, it still runs terrible. I read that a battery can cause issues like this in these bikes so I went and bought a brand new one and even re did the terminals. No change. I took it to a local shop that works on can ams ams has access to a buds system but after having it for 2 months, he couldnt tell me what was wrong with it and he lost my ******* key. Now I've got the bike back after 8 weeks at his shop in the same situation it was in when I brought it, only now I have a new key... I'm at a loss at this point. If anyone could give some ideas I'd really appreciate it.
