2014.5 Polaris Sportsman Won’t Start or Stay Running

Good morning everyone!:crying I am in need of some advice. I have reads several different threads with similar issues to what I am having, but want to check in with you all to get more feedback before I start taking my 570 apart! I know I am long winded, but I want you all to know the whole situation so I get the best advice. 

I am handicap & would LOVE to ride my wheeler!

HERE'S WHAT I HAVE:

I have a 2014 Polaris Sportsman 570. It was owned by Polaris. Before purchasing it Polaris upgraded it to the 2015 revision [fuel injector upgrade and one other item]. I bought it with 348 miles on it and it now has around 380 miles on it.
Hours are very low.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM:

I have not been able to ride it for health reasons. When I parked it I left 87 octane gas in it WITHOUT stabilizer. I have had a trickle charger on it the entre time. I have not ridden it for well over a year. When I went to actually take it out I rode it for about a half of a mile. It ran a little rough, but I figured it would - old gas. I parked it and let it idle to run the old gas out of it. After a period of time it stalled out & died - wasn't there when it killed. Since then I have had nothing but trouble.

After it stalled I tried starting it and it ran REALLY rough - almost like a really gummed up carbureted machine, except this one has no carburetor. I couldn't get it to keep running. It would start and run for a short while & then die or it would not start.

HERE IS WHAT I HAVE DONE:

•Sucked out old gas & put in relatively new 93 octane, non-oxy with stabile & Seafoam in it. It ran enough to get it into the shed and that’s about it.

•My non-oxy gas was a month or two old so I then went & got completely fresh 93 octane, non-oxy with stabile & Seafoam. Didn’t make a difference.

•I knew the battery was old & a bit weak so I replaced it with a new AGM battery. It cranks over longer, but still no change.

•I talked with the local dealer and he said it was probably the spark plug. He recommended going from the Champion 977 plug to a NGK MR7F. Tried changing to a new plug twice. No difference. It may start & run for a short while or won’t start at all.

•I know the TPS is a problem on these machines sometimes & I have excess play in my throttle. I used a piece of a zip-tie to make sure the TPS was NOT making contact. It started for a short while & killed.

HELP:

Now I am at my wits end. ATV with low hours, low miles, barely used by me, and it won’t move. I know the fuel pressure regulating O-ring and/or the fuel pump can also be problems on these machines. The machine doesn’t have a Shrader valve port to check the fuel line pressure. I don’t want to tear into the machine & start replacing things unless I really need too; it isn’t easy for me to do anymore.

Let me hear your advice please!

Fuel system air lock?

Ok, here's my problem. I just rebuilt my fuel system on my '04 Magnum 330. New carb, fuel pump, petcock, fuel lines, filters, and cleaned out the tank. I have been turning it on and running it every other day for a couple of weeks now, and running around the yard, just to make sure that it's ready for deer season (and to chase my dogs...haha). I have to give it a minute or so to warm up, and it has been running good.

Until last night when I was prepping it to run into the woods to go pick up the pics from my trail cams. I started it, and didn't realize I was on Reserve, and ran it dry. I got a couple of gallons of gas and filled it back up. Started it and it ran fine, so I drove it to the truck to put it back on and it died. It wouldn't restart unless I held the throttle, and then it ran on a rough idle (like it was starving for fuel). It won't throttle up, no revving, and will barely hold an idle. When I restart the engine, it revs for a brief second, then back to a rough idle. I had to push it back into the garage.

Again, it sounds like it's starving. Knowing that I have mechanical fuel pump, could I possibly have an 'airlock' in the fuel pump? Would it be cured if I pressurized the fuel tank to push the fuel into the system and purge the air?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

mr rpm & mad motorsports oil filter relocation kit

A few weeks ago i received the oil filter relocator and oil cooler kit from MAD motorsports and mr rpm. I originally only wanted just the oil filter relocator but figured since i relocated my radiator i had plenty of room for a small oil cooler and any bit of cooling for the 1000's seams like a plus.

My biggest concern is where am i going to mount the oil filter and cooler. There is plenty of room where my rad was but nothing to really mount it too. until i sat there looking and found a great spot to mount everything. Again this only works if you have relocated your radiator.

There are 3 holes on each corner, top and bottom of the oil cooler. 2 large and 1 small. If you drill out the smaller hole to fit a bolt through on the top. It just happens to be the same width as the factory bolt holes for your rad ( you do need to make about 1" spacers to hold it off the frame a bit. i used 1/4" steel pipe ). I also never used the little brackets with the rad relocator that are used for the push pins ( see pic ). That bracket has 2 holes that are the exact distance apart as the holes for the oil filter relocator.

Everything clears the shocks by at least a hand width. the hoses can be routed very easy and no sharp bends in the hoses. Everything it tucked up out of the way so no worries of anything hitting it.

Ill add more pics once i get it finished. I need to get oil before i finish and im doing a complete fluid change amongst other small projects so it might be a while.

Hope this helps anyone who was considering doing this

New here so hi to everyone. Has anyone done any successful clutch work on a 2018 1000 xp

1995 Xplorer gear indicator problem

Obviously I have s 95 xplorer with just over 1000 miles. When in reverse, the reverse light is on. When in neutral, no light. When in high or low, neutral light is on. Which kicks out my push button awd. Worked fine a couple months ago, but one day I noticed neutral light while riding, then became every time. Any and all help in appreciated.

Polaris Phoenix 200

Ok, I just picked one of these up yesterday new and I’m reading some scary stuff about them. Anyone have any experience or knowledge?

P0106 code

Can someone help me solve a P01006 code. It starts fine but it only revs up so far. Goes through a lot of fuel. Checked air filter, checked for leaks on the intake by spraying throttle cleaner, checked voltage on the MAP 5v. Any ideas what else to check. Thanks

G1 outlander vforcejohn primary issues.. questions

I had a vforcejohn primary from a couple years ago off my renegade. Sold the renegade 2 years ago, primary sat in a box until this week, I installed it in my outlander I purchased.
Today I went for a ride and the bike would start creeping in hi/low/reverse and not want to shift out of each gear. I’m guessing the one way bearing needs servicing? After a full day of riding it got better and stopped creeping. Not sure if the clutch to be worked out or what. Any ideas?
This is definitely nothing negative on John’s clutch, it still is amazing and made a difference, even not working properly.
