Hello everyone, it’s been a couple years since I have been on here. I previously owned an 07 renegade 840 thanks to the help of Winston at griffin performance. I sold it when my first daughter was born. Couldn’t take it any longer so I picked an 08 outlander 800, low miles and high hours..

It has a stealth snorkel on it (I plan to raise them), 30” interforce tire’s (og’s), now has my vforcejohn primary in it (I saved from my renegade) and everything else is stock. It does ok, I do miss the power of my tunes 840 on 28’s. I know clutching is key.. so I’m trying contemplate getting an stm secondary or an exhaust/tuner (only because the sound is infectious).

My plan is to remove the motor and add some solid motor mounts in it. My renegade had numerous drive shaft issues until I added those. Later down the road is love to build the motor back to an 840/860 whichever it is now and add some cams. Any opinions on what I should do/add?

I finally got around to looking at disconnecting the stabilizer bar last night. I'd never really looked that closely at the bar on this new 1k till now. What I discovered is that the sway bar link on this new machine is about as close to an OEM quick disconnect as you can get! The bottom link attachment to the a-arm is a tie rod end so it swivels. All you have to do is remove the bolt from the top of the link that attaches it to the bar on one side. Then just screw the bolt back in the link along with the bushings and lay it down out of the way on the arm...THAT'S IT!!
Takes about 2 minutes with a 15mm wrench and you have fully independent rear suspension for rough stuff and rock crawling. I think I'll probably just weld a T handle on top of the bolt and then won't need ANY tools at all to connect or disconnect the bar... Best of both worlds with very little effort!

Have I ever said just how much I'm digging this new machine? IMHO, the Polaris engineers really got their act together when they laid out this new model 1k. It rocks! :rock:

power steering going out 15 times still under warrenty cant fix 4 times now who to call

just wondering which direction the fan is supposed to run on this thing, is it supposed to blow the air through the rad, or is it supposed to suck the air through the rad? I am tired of replacing the thing that tells the fan to turn on so i am going to wire the fan in on a toggle switch, i have an after market temp gauge on it so i will just turn it on when it gets to like 200 degrees, just need to know which way to wire it for direction of fan. thanks for any and all help. I have a 2003 polaris sportsman 700, the thing that controls when the fan turns on keeps going out on it, my question is does the fan suck air or blow air through the radiator? I have a after market temp gauge on it so im just going to hook a toggle switch up to turn the fan on when it hits around 200 degrees. just need to know which way the fan runs . Thanks for any and all help.

Batt just went out on my 700 Griz and at this point I'm not familiar enough with batt brands to get what I'm after. Any suggestion for a specific batt or batt brand that's decent but not high priced?


Also, couple years ago I remember seeing a warmer blanket or pad made for small 4 wheeler sized batts, but I lost track of who was selling it. Anyone know where I could find something like this?

2012 Outlander Max with EPS. I bent my pitman arm when I hit a tree with the front right wheel. I have the steering column loose and I just need to know how to get the pitman arm off. Is there a good video on the internet somewhere?
