Stage 3 elkas

Hey everyone.... i just jumped the gun and ordered elka stage 3 for my 2018 outlander xt 850... im 255 lbs.

Like anyone else that drops 1,300 on something they have never tried... I'm starting to wonder if i made a good decision.

2018 570 SP info

I have a 2018 570 sp. I have had issues from day one with the power steering. It worked great in 2wd but as soon as you put it in awd the steering would become very very stiff. I took it into the dealer a few times just to be told “ that’s just the way they are” or, “ it’s not throwing any codes so nothing we can do”. Well I finally found a different shop who actually listened to me and drove it while I was there, and confirmed an issue. Well after two new power steering motors ( which didn’t help ) they dug deeper and found the issue is the front differential. There is a new design to the adc in the diff, for 2018. And this new plate for the adc was all worn and binding up when awd was selected. ( to me it sounds like the front diff is being engaged right away as apposed to only when the rear tires loose traction ). But they won’t admit to that. Lol. Anyway. I have a new front differential and the bike finally steers easy in both 2wd and awd. AS LONG AS,..... your not on dry pavement, If you forget the switch is in awd and hit dry pavement it becomes very hard to steer. And they tell me that if I continue to use awd on the dry pavement the same issue will happen again. ( I believe Polaris advertises that you can just leave it in awd and forget about it) but the guy at the shop says with this new diff set up,.. it’s a no no.

Just wanted to spread the word in case anyone has a similar issue.

05 Sportsman 700 EFI won’t start

My quad sat for like 2 years and like an idiot I started without draining the gas and it started and ran but would run as expected with 2 year old gas. When I tried starting it the next day it would only crank and wouldn’t start even on starting fluid. But it would start randomly and run for like 10-15 secs and die. It would also die instantly if given any throttle. And ideas on what it could be?

Sportsman 850 troubleshoot

I have a 2017 sportsman 850, I was going downhill in low with the engine brake on but it didn't engage until the bottom of the hill when I talked the throttle. I was moving fast and it came to a slamming halt. I smelt burning rubber and sounded like the belt started screeching. Now I can't get it out of low unless I turn the engine off. The rest are very stiff. Normally when sitting still and putting into gear it won't move until the rpm go up, now as soon as I'm in great wants to move. The belt looks fine. I rode the rest of the day with no real issues. I definitely broke something tho and don't know where to start to figure out what I did to it. Somebody please help

denali plow cutting edge??

they send 2 cutting edges with the plow, has anyone installed both at once ? it would make it thicker and wear slower... my only complaint with the whole plow setup is the cutting edge installation, having to use an open ended wrench to tighten all the bolts, can’t imagine how bad it’s gonna suck to remove them after several years of rust, so i was thinking if you doubled up the thickness it would last twice as long
