Tire size on stock beadlocks xxc

Have a 2014 800 renegade xxc. I need a new set of tires and found a deal on the grim reaper tires for $380 using the stock set up of 25x8x12 and 25x10x12.

Should I consider going to a larger size? Mostly trail riding with some mud holes and snow.

2010 850XP – Add Aftermarket Muffler or Not?

Just got a great deal on a 2010 850 XP with low miles.

Have been cleaning, servicing and etc for the last couple weeks.

One problem I have is the muffler. It is rusty and I have debated on taking off, sanding, priming and painting, all with high temp stuff of course.

The other option is to get a new OEM muffler.......around $300 after tax.

Or, get an aftermarket one like HMF or Big Gun or ??? for $250 with the benefits of stainless steel, improved flow, etc.

The problem sounds like it's just not that easy to slip one on and not mess with the fuel system tuning.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

superwinch A3500

Has any one mounted a superwinch A3500 to a 2018 sportsman 570 ? If so does it require a separate mounting plate or will it bolt on directly.

NewB Richard

Yup, the newest New B here, for today anyway.
I purchased a 2011 Can Am Outlander Max 400 XT

I will be using it for a few trail rides but mainly for hunting and snow plowing purposes. I'm easy to get along with unless you're not, don't make me give you a :buttkick::D

Looking forward to some Can Am fun!!

’16 Sportsman 850 High Lifter– 4″ portal lift?

I am currently running the stock 2" lift on my 850 High Lifter and am thinking about increasing the lift with portals. It appears GDP offers a nice 4" portal kit, but i noticed that it also comes with 1.4:1 gear reduction (approximately 30%)-- not sure how that will pair up with the already reduced ratio that the High Lifter comes with from the factory... I am looking for any advice on this before I jump into $3000 portal kit.

Differences between 1000 TOURING and XP

Thinking about a 18-19 1000 TOURING instead of a XP 1000
The local dealer doesn't have one I can physically look at.
Will be used 99.9% as a single rider .The main reason Im looking at it is,,,
The touring 1000 has the same lights and storage as the 2015 850
The lights matter because I have the HERETIC Studios LED's and would love to keep them. The storage matters because thats what Im used, and I like the old box's better
Besides a 4" longer wheelbase I see its Around 3 inches longer but what gets me is How is it 8" higher (pretty sure thats what I was reading)and the touring has a 3" seat height difference then a 850 or 1000? Anyone know why? Is it the back seat they are referring to??Does the touring have the upgraded pinion cover? Arched A arms front and back? I read there used to be a storage box for the seat delete but is not sold anymore. Is that true?
Besides the measurements does the touring have all the upgrades the XP has
Any downsides besides tight trails ? Any regrets on getting a touring ?

Battery/Wiring

Hello, new to the forum. Bought a 2016 Sportsman 850 SP and figured I should join here for questions. I was looking at my battery terminals trying to figure out a side problem with what I think is a newly installed winch draining my battery, and noticed a red fused connection between each terminal and a black fused connection between each terminal. I'm not an electrical minded person, so could someone just tell me what this is for? Not used to new atvs. Seems like so many connections. My older 2007 Arctic Cat 650 TRV that I'm used to doesn't have these same fused wires that run from each terminal post. I'm guessing negative and positive fused protection? Thanks in advance.

2017 sportsman 1000 4×4 sticking

Lately my 4x4 sticks on. If I go to in reverse for just a split second it cuts right out but if I stop in 4x4 and switch it to 2x4 I'm still in 4 wheel (display shows 2). Fluids always changed and very clean not contamination in front diff. Any ideas?
