In 2x4 mode and got into a watery mud hole but the water level did not get anywhere near the stock snorkels. Had it in LOW and when I went to muscle out of the hole I heard a pop and instantly thought it was a CV axle.. Then I shifted to REVERSE, nothing.. Then I shifted to HIGH, nothing.. Tried AWD, nothing..
As I was pulled out, the rear tires were dragging as if it was locked into park.. rolled the bike back and forth and it disengaged and now rolls. It rolls in every gear, including park.
So far I've pulled the PVT housing cover to take a look at the belt and clutches, they seem fine, belt seems to be in good condition. Started it with the cover off and the primary spins however the secondary acts as though its attached to nothing and just spins as if its in neutral. I have a service manual and I'm leaning towards something is nuked inside the transmission.
I'm not afraid to pull it myself and pop the case to fix it. I'm here to ask of any suggestions from anyone here that has opened a Polaris transmission before as I've never had to do it. Can 3 bond 1215 be used as an alternative to the Polaris Grey Crankcase sealant?
Or, if there is anything else I should be taking a look at prior to digging into the transmission, please let me know!
