2006 outlander 800 help

I changed the outer secondary clutch and the cam behind it. The belt had broken and the cam was stripped. I got all the parts back on and now when I put it in gear it starts going instantly. Before I had to hit the gas to have it start. I start it in neutral and put it in gear and it either takes off or dies from not having gas. What am I missing? I really don’t have the cash to take it to a shop.

Engine Overheating

I have a 2008 Outlander 650 with approximately 240 Miles on the unit. I have had the unit services by a Can-am dealer almost every year since purchased new. While planting food plots last year and this year the engine light would come on because the unit was overheating. The fan is working and there is a new air filter installed. The dealer said they cant find anything which makes me wonder if I should change the radiator fluid. Any help and or suggestions would be great!

06 sportsman 500 oil leak on valve cover?

Was riding and all of a sudden engine was not running well...looked under and seen a little oil leak from what I think is the valve cover...drive it down the mountain 5 miles and seamed to run fine..parked it just to be safe...would the gasket leak make it run bad for a few minutes?

200? Sportsman X2 500 EFI backfiring

I am possibly using my brothers Sportsman X2 for hunting, but I need to fix it first. Its spitting and sputtering at mid to high rpm. I had this issue with a 500 EFI of mine back in 2007ish and the dealer fixed it under warranty. I think it was the wiring or connector to the sensor in the intake hose by the throttle bottle. Is that the temperature barometric sensor?

Thanks.

Sportsman 600 Jetting?

Hello, I am possibly using my fathers 2005 Sportsman 600 carb to go hunting in Wyoming. I will be at 10K+ feet. I understand it will obviously be rich on the mixture, but has anyone done this and encountered any issues? Primarily fouling plugs or hard starting?

I understand I will be down on power, etc. But this is strictly for hunting for 7 days. Im sure I will never get out of low gear.

Thanks.

Seat cover for stealth le

I've been looking for a new seat cover for my 2013 sportsman 550 eps black stealth le. All I've been able to find is aftermarket ones. I'd like to keep the atv looking original if possible. Any thoughts on where to look or who to ask?

First mods to 2019 Renegade 850

Hello everyone! Thanks to everyone who gave their input on my other thread to decide on my next ATV, and now I have a 2019 Renegade 850 on order! So while I wait for it to come in I have done a ton of reading to learn important mods and tricks to keep these things running in top shape, so trying to get some opinions on my amalgamated information here.

First thing is im planning to pick up a spare stock air filter as well as the can am prefilter (seems the same as the outerwears and isnt very expensive so figured Id get the can am one), then ill grab a spare belt (do these things break belts? should i always carry one with me? where do you keep it on the quad?)

Next up is planning to ceramic coat the whole stock exhaust because I hear it gets really hot, and will likely add a centre skid plate to protect the engine. I will also be buying Race Driven metal brake pads because I hear the OEM ones wear out quick in sand riding.

My last few things are looking at the rad protector, is this necessary? I mostly ride in sand conditions so not that many flying rocks or anything, and will this significantly affect cooling performance? and ive heard that these things run lean and need a tune like an EJK to run cooler, is this true?

By the way, I mostly ride in sand dunes and fast sand trails, as well as a mix of rocky dirt trails. Is there any other mods I should do or tips that I should know? I am really worried about it overheating in the sand and destroying itself like my 400ex did, I know this has a 2 stage idiot light and limp mode so that should keep me pretty safe. Should I be worried about overheating for aggressive trail riding at speed with no mud? Anything else I should know as a first time can am buyer?

Thanks to everyone for their input, its really appreciated! Want to keep this thing running for years with no issues. Cant wait for my new ride to show up!
