So, I just put these wheels and tires on. I had the same on my 09 500 and ran the dalton kit. The 09 was totalled a few years ago when I was hit by a car. I replaced it with the 11 but left the stock wheels and tires on it until now. I liked the way the 09 worked with the dalton kit but my uses have changed since I totalled it. Basically just use it for hunting which requires running through some mud holes and trail riding. Other then that I push race cars on and off the track and putt around the pits. Would the dalton kit for the 650 work alright for my riding habits or is there something else I should look at?
The stock set up seems to smoke belts just for fun with the stock wheels and tires. Tried stock, Dayco, and Gates. The Gates seems to hold up a bit better.
Just looking for something thats going to give a more solid riding experience. Cant do much about smoking belts when im pushing cars around.
The twelfth round of the 2018 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series, an AMA National Championship, took place Saturday, October 13, in St. Clairsville, Ohio for the 18th Annual Powerline Park GNCC. After early morning rain showers the day was met with overcast skies and temperatures in the mid-forties, which did not offer much time for the track to dry out.
Hi
New to the forum riding a 2019 Can am Outlander XTP Max 1000.
Moved to an acreage in the Edmonton Alberta area a while ago and decided that the atv would be more practical around our land than the 2017 Maverick DS side x side we had.
Hopefully able to gain useful information from this forum anyways hi to everyone.
Hi i have already posted but got no replies but i could be reading it wrong. I JUST got a 2003 Polaris sportsman 400 and this id all the spprdometer/guage will do..look at pic?? I dont even know where to start. Does it need maybe some sort of relay?? My yellow button wont even change the screen??
Hello everyone! I am in desperate need of the service manual for my 400.I found 2 loose wires hanging by the engine and can't figure out where they should go. I also want to do some other work. All the manuals online are just redirects - can't actually find a legit link. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
I'm in the market for a new quad(mine blew up)This will be my 10th ,New ,Polaris.
When I started I wanted a 850 SP matt titanium. Same as what I have. But now Im looking at Titanium 850 sp. 1000 copper,1000 touring
They have them but hate what they did to the storage box's (front and back)? The fronts to small(compared to the 2015) And the back trunk is gonna be useless when a bag or box goes on the rack. Has anyone found or made a rear storage bag for these so its not to much of a PITA to get to the trunk?
Whats the deal with those big air scoops they have on the engine mud guards ,under both front fenders(to help cool the engine I assume)? That looks like a great big MUD TRAP and a PITA to clean. Was that on the 16-17's also. Any issues?
They are now using CLEAR coolant??WHY? Is there something better about it? Or are they trying to get people to buy their coolant like the other fluids? Seems it would be a PITA checking level when its dirty.
Is the exhaust on the 18 the same as the 17 ? Any issues?
I found out the touring 1000 has the same lights and the storage I like.
The lights matter because I have the HERETIC Studios LED's and would love to keep them. Besides a 4" longer wheelbase I see its Around 3 inches longer but what gets me is How is it 8" higher (pretty sure that what I was reading)and has a 3" seat height difference then a 850 or 1000? Anyone know why? Does the touring have the upgraded pinion cover?
Any downsides besides tight trails?
I want to go to Grainger and buy the few parts required to make my own "Fuel Pressure check T fitting"
CanAm part # 529-036-029 that CanAm is asking over $50 for when the DIY parts will run about TEN bucks from Grainger.
I havent had the side panels off yet so, does anyone know the fuel line I.D so I can get the right size tee fitting, line and barbs. A Forum SEARCH doesnt show it.
I am getting a horrid grinding noise. Its not super loud but you can 100% tell something is not right. Sounds like a dry bearing. It dissapears when in L, R or H but as soon as you put it into P it is there.
Is that gearbox or CVT noise? What would you recommmend I check?
New to 4 wheelers; although I rode a 3 wheeler once & almost died in 1980 something. Anyway, I bought a Can-Am 450 L model after driving my in-laws 570 outlander. Hope to learn some stuff on this forum & give my limited opinions.
Hi all.
I just bought a Sportsman 550 EFI and Itring to find front tires for it. The specs call for a 29x8-14. However I'm wondering of a 26x 9 or a 26x 10 would also go on it with out too much trouble. Anyone have an idea?
