Hi everyone, new to this . I have a 2007 sportsman 450. In the past I had a wire burn out on my ecm. It didn't ruin it but was a pain to change wires out to fix problem. Now my ecm has burned out a post and the plug in is shot. I have checked for a recall and that was a dead end. So my big question is how to fix without breaking the bank. Ecm alone is around $350. Wiring harness is around around $250 used. Can I use a ecm from another year that is cheaper and comes with a plug. For instance a ecm for 04-06 450. Thank you for any help in advance.

Hey all, have been trying to go threw old threads but wondering what seems to be the best replacement battery for a 2016 base 570, and one that fits the stock battery position. Thanks for any replies or links as my battery is getting weak and I'd like to be good to go for ice fishing this winter!
Sportsman 570 noise from engine
Is this the cam chain tensioner? I don’t notice it yet while riding and when I ride for a while it goes away. Mostly happens when cold at idle. Does seem to be getting worse though. This is a used wheeler I bought a month ago. Like my comment says.... the noise being referred to is the high pitch squeaky noise. The video almost makes it seem worse that it is

Been a long while….
After selling the gade took some time off for a bit but picked up a triple black xtp 1000 last year and had just been sitting 40 hrs on it so far haha, A lot has changed in couple years I been away and looking to big up this xtp. What are people using for lifts these days, I like the idea of arched arms and a swing arm with lift built in don’t want to go over a few inches...any thoughts
04 Sportsman 700 Code 51
Ive posted this 3 times and haven't gotten much response.
I have an 04 Sportsman 700 EFI that has a code 51. it wont idle, runs at high idle starts hard.
Ive gone through the wiring and made repairs and ohmed for shorts. installed new plugs, injectors, fuel pump and crank sensor.
I dont know were else to look.
It was suggested it was a 61 I didn't read it rite but i have disconnected the battery to clear any codes and I still have a check engine light and it wont idle.

I sold my shop in March of this year and moved from PA back to Mich.
I joined a local church and the pastor has a 2004 Sportsman 500HO and I'm going to help him get it running and keep it running. At least that's my intentions. :wink
I have a problem with the clutching and will post in the proper forum, if I can figure which one is for this old beast. :eek

New to the forum and Polaris. Purchased a 850 SP about a week ago love the engine but have a quick question. The atv's steering is a bit off from center, what I mean by this, is the handle bars are slightly turned to the right to keep going straight. Is this something I should take back to the dealership and get looked at since it is new or am I being to picky about it?
