Starting problem

I have a 2013 Polaris scrambler do ho. I replaced the starter, starter relay, and battery and when I turn the key all the lights and turn on like normal, then I turn the key to start the four wheeler and all I get is one click and the lights turn off for a second and come back on. Any ideas?

Question..While riding the other night my wheeler up and died. Turned the key off and then back on and all my lights worked except the gage cluster and i did not hear the ecm go thru its cycle. Of course this happened while loaded down with part of a Elk and at 11 pm at night. i shifted it into park tried again same thing..Now remind you im in the middle of bear country with fresh elk meet straped on thinking this is not what i need right now, I put it into high then back into park and it fired right up,,Im lost on this one..Made it back to camp that night and went to pack out the rest of my elk the next day and it did it again on my way in What could be the problem?

During our Elk Hunt the trusty Sportsman let me down. I was coming out at about 11 at night when it just died. When i turned the key off then on the front and rear lights would come on but the gage cluster lights did not.. It would not start. the ECM would not cycle. After i cycled the key a few times then everything lit up and fired right up.. Rode out and bake to camp no problem. Then the next day it did it again. i shifted the gears then all the lights came back on and it fired up...Any ideas on what to look for?

Battery/Voltage Issues

I just bought a 2017 Sportsman 450 HO from a private party - only 40 engine hours on it, but its out of warranty. The battery was dead after we took it out riding for a few hours and I had to charge it.

I took the battery to NAPA and they said its fine. I read a forum on here from 2013 on how to check the stator and the regulator. The voltage at the yellow wires was 20-21 at idle cold - 19.5-20 at operating temp vs the 22-25 that the previous forum noted. Since these are lower than 22....does that mean the stator is bad?

The voltage at the black/white wires at regulator was 12.6 - lower than 14. Is this due to the lower voltage at the stator or is the regulator bad?

Battery voltage was 12.4.

Any ideas?

96 Sportsman BBQ

Just picked up a non running 1996 Sportsman 500. The plastic cover that covers the belt is melted. Everything inside is covered with soot and melted plastic. Is this something I can clean up with some emery cloth, a new belt and cover?
