Glad to be here

Hi all, im new to the "Can-Am world" just purchased a '14 Renegade 800R, and absolutely love it.
Had a '05 Polaris Predator 500 that I beat into submission for 9 years. More like it beat me into submission.
Getting too old for the sport quad scene, I like to be able to walk after we ride for a few hours.
Anyway, got to "meet" you all, I do have some questions about my renegade, a few issues. But I will poke around before posting.
Thanks!

Brights stopped working

I have a 2012 Gen1 XMR Outlander 800
We went for a run the other day and my Light Bar that’s tied into the Blue n Black wire coming from headlight stopped working. My green wire that’s for headlights shows power when checked at the clip with a test light but the blue wire at the clip shows no power?
Is there a relay or fuse somewhere I can check, as the regular headlights still work but even with no light bar I have no brights.
The clip that connects headlight wiring to power runs into a rats nest of wires all bundled together and like I said earlier with a test light I only get power to the green nothing on the blue
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Beefing up the rear suspension on an 800 EFI-awd

We have an 2005-800efi awd. Its older but still a good machine, and onky has 300 hours on it. But i need to convert it to a permanent herbacide sprayer rig. I built a HDrack and installed it on the back, bolting tge rack directly to the frame to safely carry a 25 gallon electric sprayer.
The crutch of my issue is the old factory shocks and springs are wore out...the sprayer at 225# and me at 325# squat it hard and it rubs the fenders some.
Im thinking i want to buy HD shocks and add blcoks to the springs to adjust the suspension up so its not squated low. FYI the pre-load adjuster is all the way up.

Whats your experience with doing these types of midifications?

Back story...
We operate a small fruit farm and have dedicated spray tractors/equipment, but the burndown herbacides are risky to share sprayers with not to mention the 2 hours of time i lose cleaning the sprayers out....thus the 800 gets a permanent job of brush and weed control...

2005 Sportsman 400 electric start help

I recently purchased a 2005 Sportsman 400. When I purchased it the battery was dead and the previous owner had a battery pack for power. Both the electric start and pull start worked without issue. The atv only has a little over 100 miles on it. When I got home I replaced the dead battery and got nothing when I tried to use the electric start. The lights, display and winch all work, but when I try to use the electric start nothing happens. I don't hear any clicking, just silence. The pull start works perfectly. I started looking online and I saw a video to test the solenoid using a screwdriver. The atv started perfectly using the electric start and screw driver. I checked all the wiring and did not see anything disconnected, but I could have missed something.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

2017 Outlander 650 XMR turning over but won’t start

Hey guys,

I went to start my bike this morning and she started right away, but then shut off after 3 seconds or so. I noticed the fuel light was on when I started her even though I knew I had about half a tank. I tired starting her again, but nothing. She just kept turning over. The gas gauge finally started showing the bars and they slowly went up to half tank after about 10 minutes or so. This was the first time I left the bike outside overnight, it didn't get below freezing, but the bike was covered in water. She has worked fine since I've owned her and was working perfect yesterday/last night. She is fairly new with only 56 running hours. It's been 7 hours now and I just tried to start her again with no luck. Any idea what has happened?
