Anyone ever seen exposed brass screw on sealed side of voltage regulator? On a 2017 570.
2005 700EFI Taking off in gear, wont shift when running HELP
i have a 2005 700 EFI im working in for a guy. That the polaris dealer told him he needed a new transmission, no he does NOT. Lol... Dealers...
Anyway Ive found out its the belt system. I pulled the cover off, everything clean and dry.
Belt? ehh.. probably needs to be replaced.
Pulled both sheaves off, both look clean
Bearing inside primary works as it should, moves freely one way but not the other. Primary moves in and out smoothly. Weird that everything seems to be working fine.
So i put the sheaves and belt back on and fire it up and test it....Start it, put it in gear, and all works like its supposed to?????????
So i put back in N, rev it up a few times and watch the primary move in and out. Looks good.. So put it in gear again, and then it starts its crap of creeping. I stick my hand on the secondary to try to stop it from moving (like its supposed to do when sitting at idle in gear) , nope.
If i put in gear and run it down driveway and use brakes to come to complete stop, engine dies.
I can pull everything off, reinstall and start it and it works perfectly. UNTIL i rev it up a few times then it does its crap. Thats really weird.
I have looked at the front motor mount and notices it was slid ALL the way to the right, so i loosened it up and got it ti move about 1/4" to left and tightened it up.. no change.
there a 2 1.58mm shims behind the secondary. I tried it with both and tried it with only 1. No change at all.
Im stumped. everything looks and manually operate as it should but yet this problem keeps happening. When it does act up, the belt is TIGHT. ALmost like the belt is too small, but its not. Right part # for the machine. I checked 3X to be sure! Installed both ways no change.

Magnum 330 oil leak
Haven’t ripped my gas tank off to see what’s actually going on but when I look underneath the tank I see droplettes of oil sitting on the bottom of the black gas tank then it falls onto the top of my engine and smokes. I touched it with my finger and smelt it , it’s not gas it’s definately oil , how could it be sprayed all the way up there. Anyone else had this issue before?
2016 Highlifter Heat shield recall
SpeedZone Motorsports in Gadsden Alabama is doing the recall.
It was delivered to them July 27th.
They let me know it was going to take a while waiting on parts from Polaris.
The recall parts came in and now they say my rear fenders need replaced as part of the recall.
They said they have to use something "Ask Polaris" to get the rear fenders approved.
My rear fenders were perfect. I have low hours and I don't ride often.
the black plastic by the brake pedal did have a bubble. I don't think that's part of the read fenders though.
Anyone have some insight? Did your recall include rear fenders?
Thanks

I'm not the most active person in forums usually but I'm always checking them out for answers and tips and things. I'm from the Montreal area of Canada and enjoy time on the trails with wife and kids or to haul a couple of ATVs along on a camping trip. Sadly I have to haul a little to get to any good riding areas but it's worth it.
I've been into ATVs since I was young but have gone from loving the sport ATVs to the more comfy kind over the years, I'm not "old" yet but must be getting there :)
I look forward to reading your posts and stories, cheers!

I need help finding a part name.
Ok so I bought a 2000 sportsman 500 4x4. My nephew has done work on it and it’s ready to ride. However I am missing the front plastic piece that covers all the wiring. I have no idea what that piece is called to look it up and order one. Please help me!! I am going to try and post a pic if I can figure out how to. Any advice is appreaciated!

Bow Holder
I have a 2015 Polaris sportsman 570 and I want to carry my bow on the front. I don’t have any kind of front rack or anything to hook up too. What do I need to get to hold a bow? Is there something that mounts in the holes on the front?
