Possible t bap issue 2012 sportsman 800

Hi guys I’ve been battling an engine light issue for quite some time now first it was my fan staying on causing the atv to run bad so I changed the sensor then it started to act up again so I changed the wiring bought the kit from Polaris ran good for about a year now IHave a different issue the atv runs good then the moment my cooling fan turns on bam engine light comes on and I loose power if you shut it off and re start the engine light is gone until fan turns back on I’m wondering if anyone els have ran into this should I be changing some more sensors or checking for a bad fan Any advice is much appreciated thx

AWD light on only in neutral

So i've been tearing into this 98 xplorer 300 all week. I took the shifter out today to adjust the rods and noticed the shifter box wasn't closed. It was open almost 1/4". So i took it out, drained it, flushed it and filled it with no fluid. It used to sometimes show neutral while in gear and now that i adjusted the rods it it only shows neutral in neutral. My issue is my awd doesn't work anymore. It lights up in neutral but when i go into Forward or reverse the light goes out. Trying to figure out how that could have happened as the only electircal in the shifter is the neutral switch. Any ideas? How can i go about finding an electrical diagram for my quad?

850xp display

Hello all. looking for some help. I have a 2009 850 xp, my display will flash, come on, stay off but most of the time it will flash. its not one thing flashing its the hole gauge. I took this bike as part of a trade, so i don't know the history of it. It was dropped off with it unplugged and was told it didn't work. Is there any way to test the gauge so i know its the gauge and not some other wiring issue. its the square digital display.

Shifting problems 1999 500

Hi, last weekend I was ride my 4wheeler and started having shifting problems. It wouldn't stay in low and had trouble finding neutral. I've since adjusted the linkage and it now shifts into low and neutral fine but sticks in high and sometimes reverse. Should I try adjusting linkage again or could something else be?

Junky Warn winch

My 18 outty max xt has 24 hrs on it. Winch went bad a few weeks ago. I took it back to the dealer and had that winch replaced with what they said was a new winch. I have the warn 3000 pound winch that comes on these models. Now after getting it home the first time I try it the same thing is happening. It gets stuck in free spool and will not retract. Is this what warn is known for now?
Are any of you having the same issue? And if so what are you doing about it?

600 twin sportsman won’t run.

I have a 600 twin sportsman that has set for a couple years in my garage. I took the carb off and took it apart it was horrible so I dipped it and cleaned it. Put it back together and went to fire it up it took off and was high idle for about 15-20 sec and died. After that it wouldn’t hit a lick just turn over. I took the plug out and it was bad so I installed a new one and hit the key and it did the same thing high idle for 15-20 sec and died and wouldn’t hit again please help anyone else seen this???

XMR Exhaust/Airbox Issue?

So I read on a snorkel website that exhaust heat burning through the airbox is a known problem on all XMR models. Anyone ever hear about or run into this issue? If so how do you fix or prevent it? Aluminum heat tape?

Battery drain

I have a 06 sportsman 500HO (carb model) used it on farm the other day, everything was fine then the speedometer and battery light start flashing. Ten minutes later it dies, want start with key but would pull start,go 50 yards and die. Repeated this process till I got it back to my shop. Messed around with it a little, put battery charger on and charged it. Runs fine till battery drains. Charged again so I could keep messing with it. Yesterday while it was running I disconnected the battery and it died immediately, hook it back up and does fine until battery is drained. Read voltage at battery and only reading 12.7 volts while running. Makes me lean towards the stator. What do yall think. Thanks

Belt slipping (not wet) 2011 outlander max 800r

Hello all... I have seen so many posts about belts slipping and burning and 99% of them come to the same conclusion... water getting in or clutch kit required....

This is not my case... I have an 800 Outlander Max 800 (2011, G1)

- I run 28's on 14" rims. (Maxxis Big Horn 2.0 & ITP SS212's)

- I have a Dalton Clutch kit. (Correct model and set up)

- I use the HD BRP Belts. (HAve tried others but found BRP to be the best so far.)

- The Belt cover is sealed and NEVER gets wet. ( I have inspected it many times)

I can clearly hear the belt slipping and squealing when I'm really torquing the machine getting over obstacles or trying to get unstuck from mud.

Then if I don't back off the throttle the good old familiar smell of burning rubber fills the air. :-)

Any thoughts???
