Newbie here! RZR XP vs Maverick XC

Hello everyone, I'm Lance, 25 and live in Western North Carolina. I only own a 2016 Honda Rubicon at this moment in time but am going to be purchasing a SxS this week. I have talked to a lot of guys on the Rzr forum, driven both the RZR XP and maverick Xc and having a very hard time deciding between the two. The XP seems to be a much more pleasant ride and the cockpit seems to be bigger also has more ground clearance and a more stable ride. On the flip side I've been told the maverick engine is more reliable, has a stronger belt setup (Kevlar infused?). I would really appreciate feedback from both sides of this. Please no biased trash talk about Polaris, I just want feedback. Anyone gone from Polaris XP to maverick XC? Or vice versa? How about quality? I've heard people say the quality of the maverick is far better than that of Polaris but looking today I didn't quite understand how? I'm not for or against either I am just stating my opinion and would LOVE everyone's feedback! Thanks so much in advance.

96 Polaris xplorer won’t start

I was riding last year, ran just fine then stopped and talked to acouple fellow riders shutting the atv off. They left and the four wheeler wouldn't start back up, after sitting there for about 20 minutes trying to get it to start it finally started and was able to ride it up and out of the trail. Rode down the road for about 3 minutes and it died again. Started back up and was able to take it farther down the road and died again. Wasn't able to get it started again so trailered it home from there. It would just crank without turning over, let it sit over the winter and now trying to get it going again, charged the battery but can't get it to even crank now. Please help, any suggestions would be helpful, thank you

Clutch or transmission issue

Was riding last weekend in snow popped out of gear and was grinding then 5 mins later stoped. then when I pinned it heard a hard snap/bang continued to ride and it would make a clunking noise not to bad from The clutch area. At the end of the day it all of a sudden wouldn’t move almost seemed like a wet belt in neutral with gas would just burn the belt.

Replaced the belt but when I give it gas it just burns the belt. Won’t move

In neutral and park I can move the secondary by hand almost 2 full turns then it just stops in hi/lo and reverse if I spin the secondary by hand it will move the tires until you spin the seondary 2 full rotations then locks solid. Is that normal or is their something binding in the transmission?

Bog issue fixed – MUST SEE

I had posted a couple days ago about the bogging issues I was experiencing with my trailblazer 400
http://www.polarisatvforums.com/foru...l-unknown.html

A friend I worked with was certain that there was something wrong with my reeds, he considers himself a 2 stroke dirtbike expert. I had purchased boyesen reeds anyway so I installed them last night because the forecast called for rain and I wanted to rip around today in the mud. When I finally got the reed cage off I was amazed at what I found. There was a small piece of broken plastic wedged in one of the reeds holding it open. How it got into the airbox and past the carb... I have no idea. Looked like it had been there for a while and I'm glad I found it before it made its way into the cylinder. So got rid of that, installed the new reeds and tada.... thing runs like a top. NO bog and instant throttle response. Its like a new bike. I also installed a new plug as there was a platinum plug in there. I put in the correct NGK R plug. anyway, thought I would share. See the attached pics.

2009 Sportsman 90 run-ability issue

2009 Sportsman 90 idles like a dream. As soon as you hit the gas it pops and bangs like its up against the rev limiter. I've tried a new cdi box, bypassed the ETC switch, checked the gear selector reverse and neutral position for proper function. Tested stator for ohm resistance, primary coil ohm resistance. Everything test correctly. It really seems electrical to me. I was wondering if its possible to bypass the shifter position switch just to make sure? Any ideas welcome.
