Skid Plate pricing (Ricochet-Iron Baltic-SPOP)

For anyone in the market for new skid plates for their ATV I'm going to pass on what I have found. The following prices reflect a quote for a 2017 Can Am Outlander Max 850 XT full coverage shipped to Massachusetts. Your particular ATV may be priced differently.

Ricochet (Aluminum)
$504.95
- 15% code FORUMS-2018
= $429.20
+ $37.18 Shipping
Total = $466.38

Iron Baltic (HDPE)
$515.00
Free Shipping
Total = $515.00

SPOP (Swedish Performance Off road Parts)
$350.00 (HDPE)
+ $35.00 Shipping
Total = $385.00

I chose SPOP for the following reason:
1. Price (I'm cheap)
2. Designed to work with my Can AM plow mount.
3. Customer Service. I emailed them with a question and received a response within 5 minutes. In all fairness, I did not email Iron Baltic and Ricochet responded to a question within 24 hours.

Please do not make this a debate over which product is better. I am simply sharing this information for anyone that may be in the market for skid plates.

Looking To Upgrade 650 Max XT Tires

Im looking to upgrade my 650 max with a better set of tires. Its a 2016 and still has the stock tires that came with it. Im looking for a size that i dont have to get bigger shocks and upgrade my clutch yet. I do mostly trail riding. Any suggestions?

Stock shocks

Can you guys tell me if the stock shocks on a 2009 Polaris Sportsman 500 are rebuildable or not? I took the shocks off and shook them and it sounds like there's water inside. I'm trying to figure out if I should just buy new shocks or bother with the stock ones.

If I buy new shocks, I'm eyeing a set of the Elka Stage 1s. Do you guys know where I can pick up a set? The Elka website doesn't seem to have a complete inventory.

Lastly, the original shock bushings are shot and I can't find new ones. If I buy the Elka shocks, do they come with bushings?

These come from the factory without grease.

10 miles on mine, brand new 2017 touring xp1000. Thought I would double check all the zerks (except the drive line one...can't find it).

aarms took 6+ pumps, hubs took 12+. (please note this is the small polaris grease gun) Required over a full 3oz tube of polaris grease to do them all 1 time.

650 or 850

Hey guys, thank you for all the help on my posts. I have it narrowed down to a 650 XT or an 850 XT.
