Pittsburgh Checking In

Hello gents. My name is Shane.
I currently have a Polaris under me but am not a “brand-loyal” person as I think all machines have their pros and cons.
I had purchased a set of Hiper Beadlocks a while back and 2 of the 4 showed up with wrong bolt pattern and I believe them to be for Can Am so I figured I join up and see if anyone had any interest in them. While trying to move the wheels figured I’d introduce myself and probably stick around for general discussions.
As I said, currently riding a Polaris. It’s a 2015 Scrambler 1000 as seen in attached pics. I’ll fill out a sig if any are wondering what upgrades I have on it.
Happy to be a part of the forum for some ATV talk.

Private trails in southern Michigan or northern IN

Does anyone know of any private trails in southern Michigan or Northern IN. I spend my summers near Sturgis MI and are looking for some trails for a family to ride ages 7-69, we are non drinkers or smokers so we will not be leaving any trash behind.

06 Outlander 400 Cold Start issue

Hi,

The winter seems to be tough to warm this machine up. Sometimes it can take over 10 minutes before I can turn the choke off and drive it. It is cold... 20's to 30's.

Anyone know what I can do to troubleshoot this issue? It seems to be fine in warmer weather but it has been tough in the winter.

I recently replaced the carb, fuel pump, gas filters so the fuel system is all brand new at this point.

Any ideas that what to troubleshoot? The bought this machine in October of last year.

Thanks,

Craig

Any 2018 Sportsman 1000 problems?

Ok, you guys with the 2018 1K's...One last query before I leap...Are you all having any problems with the 2018 YM machines? If so, what? How many miles/hours and how have you used it?
I've been keeping an eye on the 1K machines since it was introduced to see what bugs show up. From what I can tell, Polaris seems to have pretty much corrected most of the issues common on the first couple years models for the 2018 YM.
Please let me know what you think and any issues you've had before I jump.

2018 Sportsman 850 SP?

Me and my fiancé have found a brand new 2018 sportsman 850 SP for 9500$ out the door costs. but we don't know very much about quads, we have never owned one but we have been riding for years. Is the 850SP a good solid quad? I'm looking for reliability. Of course I know there is some maintence on any quad you will own but I am asking more towards duration of it lasting. I don't wanna spend 9500$ if the quad is gonna fail within a few months. Just wanna hear some people's thoughts about the 2018 850 SP, is it worth it? Is it reliable? Is the 850 better then the 570 as far as reliability goes? I know of course the 850 has better specs then 570 but I am focusing on being reliable. Hope to hear from you guys!

FS: 14” Hiper Sidewinder DBL Beadlocks Wheels (NIB)

I run a Polaris Scrambler 1000.
I purchased (4) wheels (Hiper Sidewinders) for the Scrammy, (2) were right with (2) being wrong. I’ve since purchased (2) others to complete my set.
I do not have 100% confirmation of this yet, but from what I know to this point the (2) with wrong bolt pattern are apparently for a Can Am. The box they came in even claim 4/156 so they were clearly boxed wrong.
In any event, I’m posting them here to see if there is any interest once I find out exactly what machines they fit.
They are 14x7 and are brand new with all oem hardware. I’ll also confirm offset, but I believe they are 5+2.
Next post will have actual pictures and confirmation of fitment.
These are being offered anywhere from $359 and up per wheel from what I can see. I’d sell both for $300 + shipping.

I have same username over on Polarisatvforum.com if you guys want to check in on me as this is my first post.

Shane
