Make it less nose
I have a 2013 850. When out hunting the machine seems very noisy. Exhust seems loud and other engine sounds. What are ways to make it silent ? Are any exhust systems wisper quite ?
Lift kit ride quality
I have a 2017 Sportsman 1000 with a 3 inch outkast lift on 29.5 and I have the opportunity to buy a 5 inch at a good price.. Don't feel like the 3 inch effected ride quality or trail ability curious how guys with the 5 inch feel. I want to run the bike as big as I can without ruining trail ride am I there now or will a 5 inch ride similar if I keep 29.5s
Need pcv map or help with 840 tune
I’m putting my motor back in tomorrow and need a map close enough to where it’s safe for me to ride it or just some help on creating my own tune. it is an 09 Renegade 800r. The motor is a 13ish:1 compression motor and will be running on 112 octane fuel. i have drop in cams and stock heads, slip on hmf exhaust and a 2in snorkel. Thanks for any help!!
New power out of old machine
I have a 2000 xpedition 325 4x4. I’ve had the atv for several years and before that my grandpa had bought it brand new in 2000. The atv runs and drives ok still. Wanting to make it an aggressive mud only atv.
The research I have done on it tells me there isn’t many options for the 325 performance wise. But the 425 xpedition I have heard you can bolt a 2000 500 sportsman/scrambler jug, piston, and head assembly right up to it.
I found a used 425 xpedition bottom end and am considering boring out a 500 jug with a bigger piston. How much do the 500 guys usually bore out and where do you get the pistons from for it?
Or do you think I should keep a standard 500 bore and just port and polish the head?
My other concern is that the 425 only has a 70mm stroke while the 500’s have a 75mm stroke. Will this interfere with anything? Seems to be working for other guys that have done this mod.

Gas gauge
When i put the ATV away for the winter I noticed that the gas gauge was reading empty. I can see gas in the tank and thats its 3/4 full. Is the gauge part of the fuel pump? I also notice the that it is running crappy with no power like when the "power limit" light comes on but it is not on. So any thoughts on what is going on? I do keep a trickle charger on the atv so its not low battery and the connections on the battery are tight. I did replace the wires from the stator to the voltage regulator with heavier ones as was suggested. I dont think I left any other wire connection off. Does the gauge have its own connector? :0headscratch:
Glacier II Plow System Mounting Plate
Hi Everyone, I recently purchased a (what I was told anyway) Glacier II Plow System, Blade and Frame, the frame that attaches to the blade is # 2878821. The guy I bought it from didn't have the Mounting Plate that attaches to the ATV. Was wondering if anyone could tell me what the part # for the mounting plate I'll need to get this working. thanks alot Al
2012 Sportsman 90 Rev Limiter Issues
So this is what ive done so far.
New Carb, Air filter, Clean take, Fuel Filter.
Runs PERFECT but it his what seems EXACTLY like a rev limiter at 1/4-1/2 throttle.
IS THERE A REV LIMITER ON THIS FREAKING THING?????
Its driven me nuts trying to find it. I know they are normally either in the carb, on the CDI box, Or a "Washer" In the exhaust. I haven't been able to check the exhaust yet but i am doing that tonight.
Not sure if someone else in here knows right off hand what the issue is.
Ive also read that the Safety Switch in the Parking break sometimes causes a issue like this because it will signal to the bike that the break is on to start it but wont signal to whatever that the parking break is off to cut the rev limiter off.
Ive checked the wires and even spliced into them and manually connected them together and disconnected them to see if that would allow to bypass a rev limiter and it didnt fix anything.
Sooo... Im lost. I also know that there was a spacer in the Primary clutch in some models.
Not the case in this one as im currently rebuilding and replacing the whole drive assembly, Belt, Primary and Secondary clutch. I have tore them apart and there wasnt a spacer or "rev limiter" in the primary clutch.

Sportsman 570 QSC Clutch Kit
Just ordered a QSC clutch kit for my 16 Sportsman 570 with 30 inch mudder inlaws. What shim setup should i use that come with the kit? I've been reading on here that a lot of people like the 1800 RPM setup. I do a bit of different style riding but mostly mud.
