Can Am Heavy Duty Springs on a 2017 Outlander 450?

For the life of me, I cannot figure out if these will fit. They say in the description "fits G2 and G2S". Mine is considered a G2L though. I even went to the dealer yesterday and he couldn't even tell me for certain. I literally stared at a 650 max model parked right next to a 450 model and the shocks themselves looked identical, well at least size wise. The shocks are different part numbers in the book though. I'm running a "pipe lift" right now and I'm not entirely happy with the results.

Has anyone ever put HD springs on an "L" model?

Can Am ATV Heavy-duty Front Springs -

Idea #2..... Just buy 4 springs from an Outlander L Max model. The shocks in the parts manual have the exact same part numbers.... however, the springs have different numbers. I'm assuming Max springs would be heavier duty than the base model. And I know they'd fit for sure.

Sportsman 850xp 2013 input shaft broken any ideas for reasons?

Hey

I have a 2012 Sportsman 850XP. I lost drive without any warning. Found out that input shaft had broke down.:sad I would like to find out a reason before I install new shaft and rebuild transmission. Could it be a problem with drive coupler spring damper? It is a bit loose but I cant find any information how it shoul be. If anyone here has heard about similar problem, I would be thankful for any advice :smile

Grooved Silverbacks

I like to break out my "ideal tire groover" from time to time. I had good results grooving the super swampers on my old wheeling rig (a 1 ton K5 blazer on 44's) and I was happy with the ice traction after siping the BFG mud terrain tires on my daily driver for better snow performance. So the next logical step for me was to try grooving and siping my Silverbacks for better snow, ice and rock traction...

I used a #3 round blade set to 1/4" depth for the grooves and a #5 blade set to 1/4" for the sipes that didn't show up very well in the picture. I think they look similar to the Silverback Xlites.

So far, I haven't noticed any chunking and the performance has increased slightly.
I may cut the grooves deeper in the spring if I don't see any excessive wear.

Central Pannel help

First thread :)
I have a 2009 Rene 800 and noticed the day I first rode it, that the central pannel didn't want to line up properly. I had it off today to change the air filter and when putting it back on, I tried to line it up properly.... But I can't seem to get It, it's almost 2 inches out on the front clips and I can't figure out why, ive spent all evening trying to get all the clips in but I just cant get it lined up right!
Is my frame bent? Do the panels warp?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
