New to Can-Am ATVs

Hi everyone,

I'm retired and am from central PA. For a number of years I belonged to a Jeep 4x4 group and owned a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. It was fun but I wanted to experience 'quading' so bought a Polaris Sportsman 570 EPS, joined a club and never went back to Jeeping again.

Of course I traded my Polaris in for '1' BIG reason.... Mudding. So traded up to Can-Am Outlander 570 X-mr. Great decision and this past weekend rode through the mud where my Polaris bogged down in and Outlander X-mr went through the mess easily.

So, now more confident when riding through just about anything.

Love riding and hope to offer tips, tricks and etc. to all.

Righ Idle, on power, backfiring…

Looking for advise here. I have a 2015 Sportsman 570 with about 50 miles on it and the other day it started bogging down and backfiring while out in the field. I managed to get it back on the trailer before it really crapped out, thankfully. Right now it barely idles and if I get it running and rev the motor it will back fire and spit and sputter. I changed out the sparkplug, pulled the fuel rail and injector out (they looked clean no gunk), the spark plug was fouled. After that I took it for a spin around the neighborhood and it ran like crap, backfiring and falling on its self.
About a week ago I put a new tank of gas in it, so of course the tank is full! I am thinking that it is a gas/gas delivery problem. My next step is to drain the tank and blow out the fuel line and pull the fuel pump to see if there is any gunk blocking the flow of fuel...

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks
John

Run for the hills...that's where the fun begins!

What better name for a UTV that is designed to showcase the baddest rock eating tires on the planet than ROXXZILLA? This Hot Wheels inspired Polaris RZR belongs to Mike Farmer who provides trackside support at the WORCS racing series as well as a number of off-road events around the southwest.

570 wheels/tire suggestions?

Hey guys, shopping for a set of 14" wheels 26" tires for my white 570 EPS. We ride a mixed bag of trails, but do a lot of snow riding, usually packed trails but some snowbanks to climb, and deeper powder to blast through. Lots of deeper ruts on the trails in the summer, and some mud.

I really need something that is not a wimpy tire like the stock. Something MEAN, but somewhat comfort for hard pack trail. Any absolute go-to tire? Lighter the better as well. I cannot stand the wimpy factory tires.

Thanks
