Ok folks, here's what I got. Replaced inner tie rods with heavy duty ones and put new 30" tires on Defender yesterday and now there is a sporatic popping sound that I can't isolate.
2005 Sportsman 500HO Stator Votlage Output and LED Lightbar Question
I am looking at mounting a 32" 180W bar on the front of mine. Will there be any issues from the voltage draw?

Anyone with sti 7” wheels, how large is the wheelbase?
Anyone with sti 7'' wheels, how large is the wheelbase?
Trying to figure out if they will fit my trailer if I upgrade to STI wheels (like the hd3 or hd9 beadlocks). But all their offset wheels are the same I believe.
can anyone measure their outlander with those wheels and just tell me how wide it is from tire to tire to know if it will fit my trailer? Thanks
please let me know what tires you have on.

Sound bar
I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the wetsounds stealth 6 ultra hd sound bar and if it was worth the money or if there are any that are just as good for a little less.

1000 Outlander sadly died…
I recently bought a 2012 1000 Outlander off a neighbor. Got a really "good" deal on it so I was pretty pumped. Put about 200 easy miles on it and she seized up. Shortly after I bought it it started showing PTO bearing issues... wouldn't start worth a dam once it got warm. Aaaaaanyways I've priced out rebuild kits and talked to the local shop about a rebuild and I would kind've like to try to do this rebuild on my own. YouTube has some pretty alright videos on how to tear down the gen 1 engines but I can't find much for the 1k engines. Wondering if anyone has compiled a step by step checklist or has videos kicking around of a rebuild so I only have to do er once. I've been tearing different can-ams apart for ten years but have never had to tackle an engine job as so far anything I've bought new has lasted me forever. I know there's some people on this forum way smarter than myself in this regard so hoping for some decent info!!
Thanks in advance:smile

Best atv cover?
What is the best atv cover? Is it the trailerable can am cover? There are cheaper alternatives but my previous one did not fit so well and ended up being torn apart by sun and wind after 2 years....
No space for a garage spot for the next few years, might move and build a new house in a few years with a big garage, but for now my garage is full of stuff already.

First ride with my 2013 800r . Front end drops…
Love the power steering. Makes driving so much easier. Bumps are no big deal now.
800r power is impressive coming from a 400ho. Way enough power for my needs. Definitely pulls. Love it.
Only issue I have is when trail riding fast, when I see a rock and I brake, the front end drops and I hit the rock... lucky I had alum plates because I hit a rock pretty hard and its dinged in quite a bit. Also has a tendency to jump on small bumps.
Will probably do the elka stage 3 upgrade or I will end up destroying the quad...
As for tires and wheels, I have not figured yet. The oem carlisle act easily went through 6 inches of mud so they are not so bad, but I would not have felt very comfortable in deeper mud or muskeg, so I will think about upgrading to mega mayhems or something. They work fine for hardpack or grass...
