Ok guys starting off I'm new to the forum. I have a 2013 xmr 1000 that I have had since new. It's been sitting a while and I went out to start it today and when i turn the key it won't come on in just the regular on position of the key. It will work in the light position but keeps flashing on and off. I took the key switch apart and cleaned everything in it and it does look corroded. Also I am hearing a clicking coming from the relays at the front of the bike. Not sure if that may be the cause. I'm thinking it's a bad key switch but just wanted consult with everyone before I go out and buy a new one.
Model Year
My Phoenix was manufacted on 07/05/2010. Was wondering if atv's were like cars or not and if this is a 2010 or 2011.
Fun Factor
Hi guys, Just joined the Polaris gang. Been on dirt bikes with high country riding, this is my first ATV. 2006 Polaris Sportsman HO. Managed to unload it off my truck with a little nervous tension and now have been doing trips around the yard. Needs full oil changes, and a good cleaning. Came with a plow and ramps. 1100 kms on it so not high milage. Have always done my own maintenance on my boat and bike so just a new learning curve on the Polaris. Good to have a connection with you guys in the know. Will contribute when I can, but at this point it is all brand new. Cheers trapper2 :grin

Iron Baltic Plastic Skid Plate
I have not had the chance to hit the trails with them yet, that will be tomorrow, but here are my thoughts on them so far.
The Good:
They arrived to me in Canada within 4 working days. That is faster shipping from Europe than I have received ordering stuff from BRP through the dealer. After the currency conversion, taxes and duties they came to about $180 dollars less than the BRP plastic skid plates. They seem like a good quality product, nice and thick, fits very good. Everything lines up and fits together nicely, it all bolts up tight to the frame and floor boards. They cut most of the holes bigger than they need to be on the skid plates, that way you can adjust them a bit before you tighten everything up. There are holes cut out for the oil and diff drains. The coverage seems good too, they do look like they will provide a lot of protection.
The Bad:
The installation instructions definately could of been more clear. They were not terrible but a few parts were tough to understand what they were trying to show.
Overall the installation was not that bad, I did it all right off the ground. I worked on it a little every night after work so it took me a few evenings. From what I have seen so far I would recommend them, but ultimately I will have to see how they hold up on the trails.

2008 ecm rebuild
Hey guys working on an 2008 and it smoked the cdi, I have it running and it’s now overcharging. I took about the superpower module and it looks like the 3 phase regulator is cooked. An oem replacement is crazy money for this model does anyone rebuild them?

2002 ranger 500
So I have read a lot of posts from people regarding spark issues with the polaris sportsman 500. I have a 2002 ranger 500 with no spark. I realize polaris does all their tests with ohms readings. I have replaced the stator cdi ignition coil and plug cap and wire. Still no spark. I am not getting any voltage out of the trigger coil. This unit has had 3 stators put in with no success. Has anyone else seen a crank out of phase causing the trigger gap to be excessive and not produce voltage. The trigger ohm reading is 97 ohms. All new ignition components. I am a technician by trade but this one has me slightly stumped. I do know the crank is out of phase just curious if any one else has seen this cause no spark???
Complete overhead audio system
I have the front liner installed already. It was required for my roof rack and lights. I keep staring at the indentations for the stereo and speakers. Wondering how the stereo and 4 Jensen speakers sound in there. Absolutely no YouTube videos at all. Anybody have it installed or hear it?? Wondering how it sounds.
1987 Polaris cyclone carb issues
Hey everyone I've got a 1987 Polaris cyclone 250x 2x4 the guy I got it from put in a carb from a trail boss same year but I'm told the jets and everything are different on top of that it's missing the nylon washer underneath so I've got all the parts but that so my carb leaks when it's not running and if I put the air box on it backfires like crazy it seems ok if i run it with the choke on is there a way I can adjust it so I don't have to choke it or do I need to wait
