Looking to buy my first Polaris ATV
I'm getting ready to buy some property as I retire and am in the market for an atv to do some work around the property. Hauling, maybe some plowing (if we ever get enough snow), and just some general riding around. I've had some friends recommend Polaris or ? .......been told by some that Polaris needs to be worked on a lot (really can't believe that as I understand they're the top selling atv).....looking at a Sportsman possibly...maybe a 400/500/570......I've noticed that the Polaris has a longer seat than others (I have a 16 yr old daughter who would like to ride along sometimes)...she'll also be driving it so I'm interested in ease of use also. I'm in the St.Louis area and have just started to look so I'm asking for some learned and reliable info so.....

Are hours a big thing if it's been maintained?
Models to stay away from?

2010 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO
I have a 2010 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO. The machine has approximately 750miles / 100Hours. The machine seems to have a ticking sound when reved up and when riding at higher RPMs. Is this the Starter Bendix or Valve Adjustment? I have hear both of these are common issues with these machines. Please Help. Thank you.
Clutch issue
I have a 2006 sportsman 500. This is my first time working on these type of clutches and could use some help. I am assuming that I don't have ebs. I have included a picture if someone could verify that. On the picture that I have attached could someone tell me if that Is a bearing or is it supposed to stay stationary. The piece does not move at all on the sheave.
