So I pulled out my steering stem today and was pretty disappointed in how weak the stock stem is. It’s hollow all the way down to the pitman arms. Also, just to get to the stem I had to pull the whole air box which was a real pain in the ass, getting it back on is gonna be even worse. With all that said, I don’t ever wanna have to change it again. So my question is, where can I find a unit for non power steering that is stronger. I know six5 makes one but it’s for power steering.
Hey guys new to the whole forum thing but I will try to give as much info as I can. I have a 2015 can am Commander 1000 XT. I recently broke one of the front CV axles off inside the differential and ended up replacing both sides. I got it all back together and it runs good but when you put a heavy load on it it clunks and only is in 3 wheel drive. I've done a little bit of research. if I can, can I just remove the visco Lok and have the front end be locked up? Or does removing this only keep the machine in three wheel drive? Also if I decide to just get a torq locker does that replace everything that could be broken in my front diff? Thanks for any and all help!
I just purchased a 07 sportsman 450 that is having carburetor issues. When I started going through the carb I found that the previous owner had glued a hardware bolt into a hole located on the right side as you can see in the image. I got the bolt out and it looks like it should be just a plugged hole to prevent unmetered air. Can anyone enlighten me on what this hole is like from the factory?
The issues it is having is that it bogs down about 1/4 throttle like it has a dead spot. After you throttle past that point its fine. Everything internal seems to be just fine.
Any imput is appreciated.
Thanks
hello there :th_smiliewavey: ive recently picked up a 19 outlander max xt 850 and am looking forward to snooping around your forum haha :smile I stumbled across the rear diff problem with these atv's while searching for maintenance advice on youtube. :eek
I have a 1997 Polaris sportsmen 500 ATV I am having a problem with the leaking out the overflow tube when ridding it.
We have put a new carb, fuel pump and have adjusted the float and checked the vents for clogs . Have checked the gas cap and changed the fuel filter. It still leaks only when ridding it. Any advice
Hi, I have a 2004 outlander 400 H.O. I have been having issues with it starting and staying running. I just changed the spark plug and it started right up the first time. Now the atv will idle just fine without any issues, but the he minute zi press the throttle and attempt to give it any gas, the quad loses power and bogs right now. Once the engine power is reduced significantly, the quad will backfire and power will be restored for a few seconds, then if zip bogs down again and may or may not backfire. Once I let off the throttle it will idle just fine again without any issues. I have been told two different things by two different shops. One says the timing is off which I have no idea how to fix, the other says it just needs to have the carb cleaned. It only has 600 miles /93 hours on it. All fuel lines have been replaced too.
Hey everyone my name is Corey. I have a Rally 200 that has been giving me a lot of problems starting. If I let it set overnight it will usually foul the plug when you try to start it the next day. Pull the plug and clean it it will fire right up and run great all day. I rebuilt the carb last summer. Didn’t change anything. I can even shut the gas off and let it idle out of gas and it still fouls it the next day.
