I’ve got a 2009 Can am outlander, with an 800cc engine that won’t start. It cranks but does not sound exactly correct. The fuel pump works. Fire to both spark plugs. All the fuses seem to be ok. Air filter is clean. It will only start if we pour fuel directly into the butterfly under the air filter. We’ve tried troubleshooting but so far have not been successful. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
AMSOIL Snowshoe GNCC Women’s Race Report
On the weekend of June 23 and 24, the ninth round of the 2018 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series, an AMA National Championship took place at the Snowshoe Mountain Resort. Snowshoe is one of the more gnarly races on the GNCC circuit, as well as one of the toughest courses in the country. In a throwback to the famed Blackwater 100, the start is a live-engine downhill start on the main street of Snowshoe village.

2013 800 XTP Shifting Issue
Always difficult shifting into reverse or park. While installing the interfaces between the clutch cover and the clutch exhaust tubing I noticed three ground wires were bonded to the top hole of a bracket, right side of quad, that interfered with the shift mechanism. On this bracket are four holes. Two have connectors attached and a third has, on these quads, a bolt with four washers and a rounded nut. I cut the tie wrap on the 10 gauge black ground connector and moved this wire with two other grounds to the hole just below the top mounting hole of the bracket and used the bolt with the four washers to bond the grounds. Correcting the ground bonding moved the 10 gauge wire away from the motion of the shift linkage and no longer interferes with the motion of reverse and park.
During production the line worker found a quick way to bond the grounds but this interfered with the shifting into reverse and park.

2018 0utlander 570 xt overheating issue
Hey everyone I'm new to the forum recently my girlfriend and I bought a pair of can am's, she has the 2018 Outlander 570 xt only 340 miles on the machine and for some reason it keeps overheating and throwing itself in limp mode, rad is clean front and back, fan is running and there is plenty of coolant, I did notice the wheeler seems to load up at about half throttle doesn't seem to be winding out like it should also the coolant seems to be gaining pressure with the cap off and running which leads me to believe possibly a bad head gasket ?? Oil somewhat smells like gas and consistency is off. Thanks in advance!!!
Outlander gen 2 rad relocate
Going to be installing the factory rad relocate for my 2016 outlander xt 650 is there any pics on here of someone installing?
2nd time around on water pump rebuild
This is the second time i have rebuilt my water pump, machine is a 2003 700 sportsman. First time i put the ceramic/rubber washer on wrong, lesson learned on that, but my question is every kit I buy comes with a bearing for the water pump shaft, how do you get it tore down that far to put that in? I have the magneto cover off (i think thats what it is called), there is a few gears behind it anyways, removed that cover to put the oil seal on the water pump, assuming the bearing goes behind one of the gears? Dont know if its someting that should be replaced or not....but i have two of em now so id like to be able to replace them if its is reccomended...Thanks
2013 sportsman 800 EFI error code 51
Hey all, I bought my bike used from a guy and only had 45 hrs on it. After using it for a couple weekends the one weekend it wouldn't start. I put it on a charger then started up fine. Now I go to use it this weekend and no start again. I bought a new battery and the thing still won't start. I just keep getting a clicking sound.
The error code is 51 but I've traced almost everything and cleaned all connections.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks,
Tyler

Oil Filter Drip
Before ride Saturday I checked oil and noticed it was low, about 1/4 of one quart. It had a slow drip from bottom of filter. So to be safe I decided to drain and change oil/filter. When removing filter it seemed as though it had about 1/8 turn before it was loose. Manual says tighten till gasket touches then 3/4 turn more. That seems like not enough so when I did my 570 and sons 450HO I tightened a bit more. No leaks on 450. Ran it after oil change today, all seems well. Just wondering what others do as far as tightening filter and or anyone ever have similar experience. I’ve changed many filters over the years and never had one drip before.
