Monster EFI flash

I have a Power Commander V now yoshi exhaust, twin air filter and snorkel. I'm thinking about getting the monster ECU flash. Would I still be able to run my PCV with a refreshed ECU or would that be a waste? Clutches will be next year along with other goodies. Getting 2" bar risers right now too. Please let me know your thoughts on the Monster.

Another electrical issue on my 2015 sportsman 570

Had bad regulator last year. Replaced it, and all was well... till now. Noticed I was losing voltage again and machine died. Found positive connection on battery was very loose, to the point it had slightly melted the plastic on the battery just under the terminal. Enough to send me out for a new battery. Before installing the battery I figured hey, may as well do my maintenance (oil, air and grease). So I stripped everything down. I Wanted to start it up to warm the oil before draining and while connecting the new battery I happen to be leaning on the 3 yellow wires from the regulator and they were way hot. I quickly disco the battery and SMH. To my surprise I notice the connector from Regulator to Stator wire is melted. Problem is, I don't know if this happened while I had the loose battery connection or when I went to hook up the new. So with the regulator now disconnected from the stator harness, I connect the new battery and have 12.8 VDC at the VR connector. How can I check that there is/isn't a problem with the stator now that I can't connect the 2. All wires (regulator side and stator side) seem to be fine. Not melted or disfigured. Just the connectors burned up beyond the point of mating. Am I able to just replace the connectors? Or do I need a new VR and Stator? If I need to replace the stator, is the case that is housing the flywheel and stator dry or filled? I've seen videos on the 700 that show the 700 is dry but with the coolant hose connected to this cover, I assume that's not the case with mine. Trying to avoid opening a can of worms and taking it to a dealer. Any info would be appreciated.

01 polaris 325 expedition

have a 01 polaris expedition 325,engine running I get it to full throttle it's like it's laboring it's not free, thats the best explanation I can give?

Can am renegade wont idle on start up without throttle.

Recently rebuilt my motor from the bottom up with a 1020 kit, mav heads, cams, intake and a 54mm tb. When I go to start my machine it will start up and idle fine for a few seconds and then shut off. If I give it some throttle for a few seconds soon as I start it sometimes I will stay idling and be ok. Also I was stuck with my exhaust just under water last run and the bike keep shutting off unless I kept on the throttle. I have a Griffin Performance 54mm TB. Also using PCV with auto tune. Any info on how to fix the idle would be great!

Thanks!

Adding coolant

I discovered today that when my sportsman 570 is cold, the coolant recovery tank is empty. When I open the radiator cap, I do not see coolant. After riding for 10 minutes, there is coolant below the minimum fill line on the recovery tank. Do I need to add coolant to the radiator and the recovery tank? Or just fill the radiator up to the very top? Or something else? Manual isn’t too clear on this.

New Member

Hey All,

Looking to buy my first quad here in michigan. I am looking at new since you can not find many used ones for sale around my parts! The future mrs' and i are looking for a 2 seater (2up?) outlander to use for some camping excursions and such.

I am new to quads, and i am doing as much researching online as i possibly can, so any advice you guys and gals can give will be greatly appreciated. I am a bigger guy (250lbs) and will need something to help plow our small driveway, help me around the property while doing maple syrup, and hunting bambi. I was thinking a 570 or 650, but also the thrill of the 850 is also peaking my interesting. I know i wont need the 1000 since the places it will be rode wont have deep mudholes, or long straight-a-ways to really open it up on. More like minor trail riding and some good inclines.

Polaris 2019 Models

Has anyone heard anything about the 2019 Polaris lineup? About what time of the year does this information usually come out (July/August)? I see they have already released the 2019 Ranger Crew XP 1000. I was wondering about the Sportsman 850 specifically.
