Fuel Guage Not Working

To anyone that has ever had this problem of your fuel gauge not work it is most likely the float had this problem forever, the guage reads empty all the time, you should take the fuel pump out and put the float up by hand to see if it will go up by hand, if it starts going up it is your float, easy fix and cost about $20, I get a float from this site http://stores.djstractorparts.com/fu...en-1-djsfloat/
Super cheap and works great, hopes this helps someone.

Sportsman 500 HO won’t stay running

I have a 08 Sportsman 500 ho. Starts and runs good for about 10-15 minutes then dies and won't start. If you let it set/ cool down for a little while it will start and run then die again. Spark plug is brand new. Could it be the Coil?

Thanks

While the general populous is still awaiting the official release of the Nikola Motors electric UTV, it seems the company has been hard at work with the US military. This camo’d out NZT complete with a roof-mounted 50 cal. machine gun certainly looks like it’s ready for battle. We’ve been following the development of this unique […] more

99 Ranger 500 6X6 problem

Hi all, great forum! I picked up the above ranger and after doing some work to get it running, I noticed when going down the road at 20 mph or so, the shifter starts shaking a lot. It also has a noise, kind of a tinging noise coming from the fresh air duct to the clutches at idle. Other wise it seems to run good at idle and there is not shifter shaking at lower speeds. Anyone run across this before? I didn't notice the shifter shaking till it felt like it was coming out of gear and I put my hand on the shifter to try to steady it and push it back into gear.

2005 Predator Side Plastics Needed!

Just picked up a 2005 Predator 500, but is missing side plastics.
New side plastics are insanely expensive! ($175 per side)

If anyone out there has or knows of a Polaris junkyard :-) that may have the side plastics for a 2005 Predator, please let me know.

Thanks,
Paul

Tie rod question

Polaris’ Reputation is Well Earned

Good riding to all of you!

I'm sure this will generate some negative feedback, but just wanted to share my opinion of Polaris. I purchased a brand new 2015 570 Polaris Sportsman. I have put less than 35 hours in the three years I've owned it, kept it out of deep mud and water and kept in stored in the garage. Last year I complained about having to replace the voltage regulator and brand new battery and got the typical critical posts for Polaris loyalists. 11 months almost to the day, I had to bring the bike in and found out that it needed another voltage regulator (previous one had a 30 day warranty). Keep in mind that my point of reference is having had a 2003 Honda Foreman from 2010 through 2015 and never had any issues. (She wasn't pretty but never let me down never needed repair). So, just thought I'd advise anyone out there who is thinking on taking a change on Polaris despite the negative reports of their reliability and poor quality...buy Honda, Yamaha or Kawasaki or anything but Polaris.:spank:

And for all of you loyal Polaris owners...more power to you all!

Regards,
