I installed the fox shocks on my 2018 650XT. Haven't even rode it yet. I did notice the front end dive when braking when I pulled it out of the dealer. I have read and been told that the foxes are a huge improvement.
I left the preload as they came out of the box. The rears are close to maxed out. The fronts have about 2" left. Since the both the fronts came the same, as did the rears, I figured there must be a reason for it.
This quad will be used for hunting. No mudding like I see a lot of here. I only go thru mud when there are no other options. No lifts or larger tires will be used either.
I am looking for a nice ride, but also the ability to carry a hefty load. The racks will have weight on them more often than not there will be guns or bows and cases most of the time, and I come in around 235#.
I will be out on my first ride this weekend. Just wondering from those that have BTDT, what their experiences were.
My first quads were a pair of 2004 Arctic Cat 650 V2s. I remember on that forum back then, all of the complaining about brake pads, belts, broken axles, etc... With almost 20K on those quads, none of those issues ever cropped up for me.
I am hoping that I have the same experiences with this Can am
My take is that many on these forums push there quads pretty hard.
