Yoshimura slip on

Hey guys, put the Yoshimura slip on exhaust on my outlander today. Does this thing not require a clamp on the pipe? Factory wont go on and I see nothing about a clamp in the instructions.

Polaris Scrambler 500 year? Trying to sell

Hello folks, I'm wondering if some of you can help me.

I'm trying to find the year of my old Scrambler 500 - I can't seem to locate a vin number, or tell what numbers are what. I have a few numbers from the machine:

MOD 1341306
SER #: 00-15530
Polaris 3084963

I'm not sure which is the vin # or if it is still on there at all. If anybody could help me out with this, I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Regards,

Steve

Etc

I rewired my thumb heater today. In doing so I wanted the heater to work off of the key switch. Much to my surprise when I removed the key switch I found the brown wire that go's to the ETC (electronic throttle control) had been cut off. I bought the bike new and the only person to ever work on it other then warranty work at the dealers. Never have I had a throttle problem so I never knew the ETC didn't work thank goodness. I don't know who cut this wire other then the manufacture or dealer??? or know why. I know it was cut off because it was cut very close to the plug connector and I had to solder in a new wire and nothing around it to cut it.

brake pads

kind of a goofy question but can brake pads swell. Had a real problem getting drum off and now the drum will not go back on. Anybody got any thoughts. By the way This has been a great forum.

Riding pants

Hey everyone! I’m looking into some riding pants because I’m tired of trying to get my blue jeans clean after day of riding in the mud. I’m 6’ tall and I’m noticing that there is not a inseam to these style pants. What is everyone wearing?

Stalling

I have a 2015 sportsman 570, it will idle for a few minutes and then stall, when I drive it it will run fine for a couple minutes and then stall, does anybody have any ideas?

Anybody Else…?

Did a search was hoping to find someone else that had removed there foot wells and kept it that way.. Thinking of cutting the wells only to extend below fender the center section of the well will be removed NOT bolted to foot pegs and the extended piece to be held on by the 2 fasteners which i have already replaced with 1/4 -20 bolts. been driving it around with just the wells removed and body plastic is still pretty ridged Anybody else..? Why..? I like things being accessible for cleaning, inspection, maintenance I have also found the well to be a pain in the ass to remove and reinstall but not the overall reason.. And NO.. If well is cut properly it will not affect tire/water splash from tires.

Converted

My sister flew in from NH to spend spring break with her daughter. They wanted to go out for a ride, so I converted my Touring back into a 2 up machine again. Had to put the rear seat back and hand holds back on, as well as put the sway bar back on. Doesn't look like the same machine.
