Awd indicator on 2011 sportsman 850xp is not displaying when switched in 4x4 and it is not going into 4 wheel drive. What do I need to check first? Is it the switch that is bad?

2012 850 xp
2012 850 xp
Looking at getting a used 850 xp eps with 3000 miles on it. Hand warmers, 2up seating and front and rear lock and go boxes, winch , new Roctane xd 8 ply tires and battery this spring. Have not seen this machine in person but it looks to be in real good shape from the pictures. I live in Minnesota and prices are crazy for 4 wheelers here. Wondering if $5000 is a fair price and what I should look at and ask when I go to look at it? How are the 850's holding up or is 3000 miles pretty much wore out?
Thanks in advance for all your help and answers

Swamper Vampire II on my 1000
Hello Guys and Gals, I just installed a set of Swamper Vampire II tires from Interco Tires on my 2017 Sportsman 1000, and I wanted to review them for you.
I have put on about 250 miles on them since I put them on and it just barely wore the nipples off the tires, they seem to have a good middle of the road rubber compound. The tires ride good at slower speeds and very smooth over 30 MPH due to the great overlap in the tread.
As far as traction WOW anywhere they can get a hold of something they will, compared to my last tires I had, the Pro Armor Attach Tires. I just did not like the Attack tires, they seemed to roll over things instead of grabbing it.
The size I got 28-9-14 front 28-11-14 rear, they do run a little on the short side, but I have the wider rims from the Pro Armor Attach tire package, I took off the tires and kept the rims. My 28 inch tires at 8 PSI measured with a level across the top of the tire and being on the machine just under 27" inches on the rear and just over 27 in the front. The lugs on the tires are 1 1/8 tall, they seem bigger but that's what they measure.
I sent an E-mail to Interco Tires asking about the tire size difference and to my surprise a couple days later they call me:eek, (no ignoring me, no were sorry E-mail a call, a person to person) I was blown away. The guy I talked too was one of the guys that worked on the design of the tire, I had a very nice conversation with him for over 1/2 hour. At the end of the call I was VERY impressed with their customer service and that they gave me a call to hear my concerns.
I live in Minnesota and we have a big variety of trails, The 250 miles I put on were a balance of mud, snow, hard pack dirt roads, and rutted up hills, these tires performed better than I could have hoped, I never even came close to getting stuck. A couple of times the tires surprised me, they hooked up and pulled the tires off the ground in snowy, grassy area, my old tires would not have ever dreamed of doing that.:grin
Overall I am Very pleased with this tire selection and I cant wait to put a lot more miles on them this summer. The customer service experience alone impressed me, the tires keep on doing so. I have put 2 pictures of the tires Freshly put on the Sportsman, the pictures don't do the tires justice.
Hope this review helps, if anyone has anymore question, I will be monitoring this tread, and happy riding.

Throwing a wave from Western New York
Just wanted to jump in and say hi. New to the forum community here. Just purchased a 2011 sportsman 550 efi in camo. Local dealer had it for sale. Only has 49 hours and 99 miles. So it's still about cherry. Came with a plow and winch so I couldn't beat that.
Have a good evening.

2016 sportsman touring 850 aftermarket tires
My stock tires on my 850 sport touring are not going to cut it. I have plugged my stock tires twice now during moderate use on forest roads. I would like to upgrade my stock tires 26 x 8-14 front and 26 10-14 rears to 26x 9-14 front and 26 x 11-14 rear. I am considering kenda bearclaw htr's and pitbull growler 2.5's in 26's. I have read the many threads but still uncertain whether I need spacers on front and back to make what looked to me like a fairly modest upgrade. A local tire dealer advised me to use one inch spacers on rear and no spacers on front with the Kendas on my stock rims. I would welcome advice on this setup. Thanks in advance. MC
Grease zerk locations
Have a 2008 Sportsman 400 H.O
I know you are supposed to grease these zerks minimum once a season.
I have located 5 of them, are there more than that. Manual doesnt show a thing of locations.
Found two on the back wheel area, then another two on the back lower suspension, and one on the front.
is there only 5 in total?
