Are there any differences between a 2011 & 12 Sportsman 500 HO (carb) model years?

I bought a 2011 where I'm hearing Polaris redesigned and went back to the carbed from efi (to save money?). I found a pdf of the Polaris 2012 mechanic's Service Repair Manual that will be used for reference; an differences in models to the 2011 Service Manual?

I am in the market for 2 Polaris Sportsman 570's. I am 99% Sold on the Hunters package for one of them (for me), but I am trying to decide how to spend my money on unit #2 for my son (19).

I am looking at the EPS model vs the EPS SP Model, one of the differences is the 4wd system, Listed as True on Demand 4wd and High Performance True On Demand 4wd. There is not really any specs on the differences that I can find.

We are ready to upgrade from our 99 Sportsman 500's. Just not sure if I need to spend the extra $$ on the SP model for him.

Any thoughts or opinions?

OK I'll be getting a new battery but would like to no why?
I had a dead battery(slow crank,wouldent start) reading @11.??volts on multi meter.I have a anti gravity jumper and it starts right up with that.
So I put it on the battery tender and its full at 12.50 v(or 12.65 .I forget)but still has the slow crank after cranking it will read @12.50.
why with 12.50 would it still need a jump?bad cell?
Yes battery is old ,probably 7years

2008 Sportsman EFI HO

So I realized my master cylinder is leaking/allowing air in. Noticed cracks and bubbles etc.

Does anybody know where to get just the seal? All I’ve found was the cap and seal combo for anywhere from 65-80. My cap is good and I see no point in spending that.

Or maybe a good aftermarket assembly?

Brand new to an online form, first one ever registered to. Live in Wisconsin, have a few BRP products. My favorite of which is my 2013 Outlander 650 DPS. Only a few mods, most of which are Can-Am. Up graded heated hand grips. Snorkel kit and high mount rad kit installed. Black widow rear storage and cushy seat installed. Sitting tall on 30 x 9 Gorilla Silver Back tires. 14" ITP SS wheels.

I have a 16 570 sportsman touring sp. Problem I keep having is chipmunks and or mice keep putting acorns in my air box and clutch housing. Not a fan of acorn butter, so does anyone make screen caps for the clutch housing/air intake ports? Thanks in advance. I guess I could zip tie screen material, but hoping for a part...

So today while out riding with a friend his rear intermediate shaft came out and caused the rear output shaft to bend. Has anyone ever seen this happen and possibly know what would cause it. It’s a 2013 outlander 800 xtp

It's been quite a while since I had an atv... 2001 when I sold it. I'm a fan of BRP and currently have four of their sleds. I'm convinced that the Outlander is my next purchase (two actually, the wife needs a ride also). I wanted to become a member now so I can spend a little time with ya'll and see what's going on in the Can Am world. Happy to be aboard!
