Will only start with brake applied

Hi guys,

Been reading all threads regarding starting issues. So basically the bike will only start when either hand or foot brake is applied and as per the info I found it could be the neutral park position switch/sensor (correct name?).
Is this sensor the 3 nuts with wires in the attached pic? They have a rubber coating. How do I check them?
Have not been able to findo more specifics.

Thanks

ATV wheel bearing replacement diy. Simply pre soak the old bearing and tap it out or use a press. Now freeze the New bearing overnight and heat the aluminum hub with the heat gun. Take your time as you do not want the bearing to get stuck halfway in the housing. Thanks for Watching and feel free to Comment with questions below!

Upgrades to 850xt

I am thinking about some upgrades to my stock 2016 850xt this winter. I use it in the mountains of Colorado, not much for mud at all. Mostly rocks and hard pack- and under 25 mph. Thinking of replacing the stock shocks, tires, and adding some skid plates. What would you recommend first to last, and why.
Thanks-

Any good sources for parts and tools?

With some of the plastic panels off to do the valve adjustments this past weekend I noticed coolant in the "leak indicator hose" off the water pump. From what I can find from online search and brp manual this calls for replacing rotary seal and oil seal. I will work on getting these seals replaced in water pump sometime soon.

Do you guys know of any good online source(s) for parts and special tools? Manual calls for rotary seal pusher plate (p/n 529 036 130) and seal pusher pin (p/n 529 035 766) in addition to the 2 aforementioned seals.

engine oil in ringgear/flywheel housing

starter seemed to have slowed down, replaced it with a new one, but found the old one to saturated with engine oil, maybe a rear seal pushed out, pulled the engine to have a look found the crank seal appear ok, and the others to look ok as well, what caused the oil to be in that area ? is my question.

oil level has always been good as i check it often, when removing the engine there was a lot of oil drain out of the flywheel area.

AR-15 gun case

What cases are available for an AR-15 ? I don't want to use a rack that exposes my AR to dust and mud. I don't want to throw it in a cargo box and beat up the scope.

Thanks for any help!

2000 Magnum 500 Odometer

Just wondering if there is a place to get a LCD odometer fixed or a place to buy a new LCD. The speedometer part works good, Just can't read the hours or miles.Thanks...

Instrument PNL Q, 1st quad, 2017 1000 x2

Going to dealer for first 25 hr service next week plus any recalls (getting a-arms plates installed too!)

Instrument Panel Service (SRV) says 12.5hr and the number has been going down

Polaris operation manual says 50hrs for service and the wrench symbol will blink 5 times when starting (If I understood that correctly - it can be reset for doing own service, etc).

I guess my question is what does SRV mean? Did I go over the 25hr. Is there 12.5 hours left till I need the 50 hrs or 25 hrs of service? There's an odometer, but no ATV hours, or I'm I missing something somewhere.
Another Q is not sure what the hour glass symbol is next to wrench symbol - can't find ref. to it in Op manual. Assume dealer will reset maintenance cycle

Thanks

750 km review

Well I've put 750 kms on my new to me 2013 400 xt since Aug and I've got to say I think I've got a bit of a MAN-CRUSH going on here. hahah. First off it had 640 kms on it so of coarse tore off the clutches right away and did a full service including one way bearing, oil change etc. Since then just started it and played. I have taken this thing through most everything we have in BC and that's a lot, creeks large gravel pit climbs, technical climbs that I needed a winch to finish( could of made it if I had bigger balls) muddy rutted terrain, swampy grassy crap you don't want to get off in and this little pup of a can-am just kept on going, leaving my buds on there 700 yammies feeling the pressure to follow or keep up. I have to say is it perfect no, but I so far have had not one issue that wasn't already built into the machine. It will go 92kms hr on open trails, so keeps up with the bigger quads there too, if this thing had power steering it would be best in class hands down, its quick, agile and goes where you point it.... What more could you want out of your ride... keep the rubber side down and ride on....
