New Canadian Member w/Defender Max XT HD10

Just a quick hello here for the masses (I already said HI in the Defender forums, as I expect there aren't many of us) from a new member up here in Canada. I just picked up my new Defender a few weeks ago, and I've been putting it to work (or the trails) every day and it's been great. Whether pulling fence boards/posts, cruising the trails or preparing for the upcoming winter months with some great accessories, this machine has been awesome. I've included a few pics, and look forward to conversations with everyone! Thanks for having me.

New Defender Member!

Hey guys just wanted to pop in and say HELLO! I just recently picked up my new Defender Max XT HD10 and I'm having a blast with it. She's loaded with everything I figured that I would need for the winter up here, so I included the heating system, soft cab, both side and panoramic mirrors, complete sound system, winch and snow blade. Stripped down, this thing is actually a lot of fun on the trails, and being able to seat six I bring my wife and three kids along, and they have an awesome time.

Noob

Hi everyone just signing up tonight to the forum. I just purchased a 2017 Sportsman 450 HO utility edition this past Thursday and will be picking it up Saturday at some point. Went into my local dealer not expecting to buy a quad but I managed to get the utility edition for the same price as the standard 450 ( sucker for a deal). My previous atv was a 99 King quad 300cc, I have never driven a CVT before and looking forward to it. I initially was going into inquire about a Honda Rancher and was a bit apprehensive about buy a Polaris but saw a few more benefits with the Sportsman. I hope it doesn't disappoint. Can't wait to pick it up.

Cheers,

Jeremy

new belt noise?

Hi guys, just signed up to the group. And ive got a question for ya. So i blew the stock belt at 3800kms the other day at 100kmph.... Sounded bad. Lets just say belt was in a million pieces... Got her home took it apart cleaned it up. Removed the belt glaze from the old belt off the clutch faces. And installed the new belt. Alignment looks good. Now the question is has anyone else noticed a sound coming from the clutch housing? Sounds sorta like the belt may be slipping a bit or a faint whinning sound. It still pulls fine. And i dont smell belt burn soo maybe im just being paranoid? Please help!

Outlander won’t move

Need some help was going to pull my bike into the garage last night. Turned the bike on and noticed that when I tried to put in low it was super easy to move shifter and would only go into high. Gave it some gas while in high and smoke came out of the belt box snorkel and wouldn't move. Pulled the belt box cover off after work and belt seems to be fine but shifter still super easy to move back and forth. Losing my mind on this machine just finished my rear diff and not one week later this happens. 2012 outty 1000 short frame. Pulled the belt box off today and secondary is not moving.

Looking for a used or non working part

I have a 99 magnum 500 4x4. The handlebar rocker switch for the Hi / Lo broke off. I am looking to see if anyone has one laying around that doesn't work that I can have or sent to me cheap. What I am wanting to do is replace the broken rocker switch on my assembly with a non broken one from another assembly. I figured I can't find one, I will just epoxy the open area of it closed, and rewire a new on off switch somewhere for the lights.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
