no spark – trying to solve
I am looking for the electrical diagram for a 04 sportsman 400. Have no spark. Wondering what the ohms reading is supposed to be for the stator, coil and pulse coil. Would anyone have those numbers?
Polaris right side heat fix!
Hey everybody,
Some good news came today from Polaris. I have the 2016 570 Sportsman with the right leg warmer package. Polaris sent me a card saying there is now a close off kit for the right side heat problem.
The back of the card basically states that is is not mandatory to have this done, however you have to decide before December 31, 2018. Also says it takes 1 hour for the dealer to install. I tried to enclose a picture with the phone number so everybody can bombard Polaris with requests for this kit.

Radiator
I recently purchased a 2017 570- base model, and noticed the radiator seems to be very vulnerable with little protection. I did read on here that the shrouds that came standard on the 14s will fit, so I ordered some. We hunt a lot with dogs, which requires riding on many logging/skidder trails. Has anyone had any damage to the radiator? Even as it seems very exposed, I have not read of any damages. I wanted to check before adding these shrouds (which apparently funnel the heat towards the legs more).
I did add a polaris brushguard- I know a Guru would have added much more protection, but I want the ability to load it in my truck and shut the tailgate when wanted.

When the Puddle Was Way Deeper Than You Anticipated + VideoThis guy looks like he just wanted to take his buddy for a casual splash through the mud. No one would have expected that small puddle to be that deep. Considering they also aren’t wearing helmets, this serves as a pretty good example of what not to do. Does anyone jump their XP 10000 touring?
I see a lot of jumping on the video reviews of the 2017 XP1000 solo units. Apparently they feel the frame has been strengthen enough to allow this without concern. (I believe 1 of the members her stated they reinforced all the main frame areas that had been weak in 2015 with the exception of the aarm tabs.)
I would really prefer to have the extra wheelbase of the touring for solo riding...but am wondering if that is still weak as it uses the older pre-2017 design. If I move back to a traditional ATV, I think I would still like to catch a couple inches of air from time to time.
I also wonder if for 2019 they will move the solo re-design into the touring version with the 3 way throttle, integrated storage, sculpted plastics etc...but that is probably a discussion for a different thread.
